I was very glad to have found this place in such a convenient location.
All preparations and communications were quick and super smooth.
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet Nicole personally, but everything had been arranged perfectly in her absence.
It is a lovely, safe and clean space, I especially appreciated the walk-in closet.
I highly recommend staying at Nicole's, this will be my first choice for future visits to L.A.
Nicole's apartment is the best place to stay in Hollywood. Though she was out of town, she made arrangements for me to pick-up and drop-off the key with a neighbor, which was quick and easy. The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable. The roommate layout provides enough privacy so that i never even saw or heard the person i was sharing the apartment with. The building was quiet and i had no problems with safety walking around in the surrounding neighborhood (though you will see some "interesting" folks). This was my second time staying in this apartment, and i will continue to stay there when i visit Hollywood. Thanks for everything Nicole.
There are many great things about this place. You are literally minutes from the heart of Hollywood Blvd. You can walk to the theaters, Hollywood and Highland, Hard Rock, etc. in 3 to 5 minutes. Live music venues, comedy clubs and great restaurants are a short drive away. This is a very LA apartment. Older building with hardwood floors, the room is quite large and you have your own private bathroom. The other guest stays in the room on the other side of the apartment so you don't really hear anything from each other. I was a long term guest (one month) and loved the place when I arrived. The location is fantastic. Unfortunately, the other residents don't take the same care of the building that I would. The hallways often smell like pot, neighbours play loud music and security is an issue. It's also very loud and at night. I wouldn't call the area unsafe but I definitely wouldn't recommend walking around by yourself at night, especially a female. Daytime is fine. Nicole is nice but she doesn't live here and was out of town almost my entire stay. So if you stay long term your roommates will change. I was lucky enough to have 2 great roommates but in retrospect would have wanted to clarify that I only wanted female roommates (I only had female roommates, but I didn't specify and could have ended up with a male). The heat and air conditioning broke while I was there, along with my garage remote. Nicole has someone looking after the place while she was away but unfortunately he wasn't very on the job and even when I left the air conditioning still wasn't working and it was over 30 degrees Celsius. The way this building is laid out the heat/cold stays in and the air doesn't circulate. So it was hotter inside than outside even after things cooled down. You really need the air. Nicole did try to make it right for the days the air conditioning was broken and gave me some complimentary nights. I think she is a nice person but doesn't seem to have the time to manage the apartment when she's traveling. That being said, I had no issues until things started to break. But getting assistance when I needed it was very difficult. The neighbourhood does start to get tiresome with all the noise and run down building but if you were going to stay short term I doubt that would bother you. Especially if you plan on being out at night and just need a place to crash. It's tandem parking so you'll constantly have to coordinate with your roommate. There is street parking but it is very tough to find during the day. However, late at night I was able to find street parking the few times I needed to.
I have stayed with Nicole for the second time now. As always - lovely space, great assistance and everything one needs. Highly recommend staying with her.
Staying at Nicole's place was great. She really makes you feel welcomed like you are her family member. The place is just like the pictures. Super clean apartment and a big room with a private bathroom and huge walk in closet. Nicole even bought me a basket of fruit one day. She has a big desk in her room too so if you need to write or play on your computer its the best. The place is located near everything Hollywood blvd, ihop is down the block, 3 supermarkets within walking distance. Stay here if you want to be next to all the action and still have that quiet home feel. You can also check her other listings if this one is booked. She is a great host and you will get a 5 star experience better and cheaper than a hotel.
Nicole is very kind, contactable and helpful. There were no problems with my move, and the location is so convenient! I don't drive in the US, so found this apartment a perfect spot to get around by walking, catching the bus, or using Lyft.
The apartment is very clean, has everything you need, (including being 5mins walk from a grocery store), and the room with ensuite is very comfortable. The bed a huge, the walk-in closet has ample space, and the bathroom is lovely. Good shower too.
Whenever I go back to LA, I'll be contacting Nicole about this room for sure. Highly recommended.
