We have two lovely rooms, a double and a single.
The double is a large south facing room on the ground floor with a bay window looking out to the front garden and drive. Carpeted, with double bed, sofabed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, small table, internet access, tea making facilities and television.
Shared downstairs shower room with the single room but if no one else is staying there would be another bathroom to use.
A continental style breakfast is included in the price.
Evening meal by prior arrangement.
There is a half hourly bus route very close by which takes you to the rail station for London but where possible we will give you a lift. The bus takes you to two attractive market towns nearby both 20 minutes away.
Shefford itself has a small supermarket, several pubs, churches and for the evening there are several places to eat. For those who like a relaxing walk in the country we suggest several routes. Nearby attractions include the Shuttleworth Aircraft collection, vintage car collections, Sandy RSPB reserve, Woburn Safari Park, Whipsnade Zoo and soon to be completed the new Woburn Centre Parcs.
The single is a spacious ground floor room looking west onto the driveway. Tea making facilities, internet, television, armchair and small table.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
The room will be your private space while you stay so making the bed will be your responsibility.
I loved this couple's kindness. We are korean and stranger there. But Anne and Terry helped us to stay there like home. We asked them several request. They did what we wanted. Anne was a good cook. She is diligent host. She grows several vegetables and fruits. We could enjoy her food and our time very comfortably. Thank you very much.
This house is very near by train station.
These 4 days with Anne and Terry Winch were the best thing we ever had. I never met people who opened their house that warmheartedly and friendly. Everything was perfect. The room completely new, good bed, better than my own at home, nice bathroom, even a dressing-gown and slippers were prepared.
For the breakfast we just could take everything in the kitchen, we wanted, an the freezer was full of delicious self-made fruits and marmalades and there were cakes and self-baked bread.
We just felt at home.
Thank you very much, Anne and Terry

Dabble in lots of things creative, happiest in the garden. Love good fresh food, so grow my own. Love to cook and experiment with different flavours. Will provide you with a Continental breakfast including home made bread and jam. Career change a few years ago means I now work part time in a garden centre. Love life especially when walking South West Coast Path with Terry my husband - half way round so far. Terry is self employed working from home in the electronics industry. We have hosted foreign students over the past years an enriching experience but are now ready for more adult guests. Two cats who follow me everywhere, don't worry we shut them away at night so they won't bother you!
