Alwyn was a wonderful host. I only stayed for one night, but the room was great, and Alwyn gave superb suggestions for places to visit in Dublin. Her dog Jake was also friendly and breakfast was delicious. A terrific stay!
Hi Alwyn! Thanks for hosting it was great! Nice city nice people i love Dublin!
Have a nice day!
Awesome! I had a very pleasant stay by Alwyn. Thank you very much for your very warm welcome.
Due to a family emergency, I had to cancel my reservation with Alwyn within the very hour of my intended arrival. She was not only very compassionate but also kindly put a refund into effect. I will definitely try to stay with her next time!
Nice quiet street, comfortable bed, clean uncluttered room; Alwyn very welcoming and made a lovely breakfast :)
Unfortunately my car broke down days before I was due to be in Dublin to see my visiting sister which resulted in an expensive bill and me being unable to attend. I explained this to the host who was understanding and said that she would help me out by allowing me to cancel at short notice with no charge, however no refund was received. I've not contested this as clearly I was in breach of our agreement.
The hosts communication was very good throughout.
Staying at Alwyn's was my first airbnb experience, and my four days in Dublin couldn't have been nicer. If you read the other reviews posted here you'll see that folks like staying at Alwyn's place. She was welcoming and relaxed in a way that put me at ease, and I felt very comfortable sharing her place. My room was super comfy, and I slept better there than I had in ages. The shower, too, was the best I'd had after two months on the road. She was available for whatever I needed whenever I needed it, and didn't mind waking up at 4:15 am the morning I was leaving (I set the alarm for an hour earlier than I needed it and she didn't mind a bit!), and she even gave me breakfast to get me on the road which I really appreciated. Blessington Basin, the lovely pond she lives on, has ducks and swans and is surrounded by trees for a wonderful and quiet bit of nature in the middle of Dublin. Her place is a ten or twenty minute walk to everything you want. I will return to Dublin in November and hope to stay with Alwyn again. Don't miss the opportunity to meet Jake, a friendly fellow who loves his belly rubbed. All in all, I left having had a really positive airbnb experience, thanks to Alwyn, and I expect to use it in the future quite a bit.
