Alwyn is a lovely lady with a very cute Jack Russell! She was very helpful with directions and making sure I was comfortable with the heating, etc. Blessington Basin is a beautiful neighbourhood and quiet with swans and ducks in the day. It is a 20-25min walk from the LUAS tram. The buses were on strike on the weekend I was there so I took cabs a lot because the walking route back at night is less lovely as it is behind a row of dodgy-looking bars...
Alwyn made me feel very welcome and comfortable in her home. There were all the necessary bits and bobs you need, like a towel and wifi password available on arrival and she even made me breakfast in the morning. As a first time air bnb user my experience was very good!
I was staying with Alwyn for 2 nights in April 2015 and would like to confirm that she is a kind and accommodating host. I arrived around 23.00, which was rather late for Alwyn, but she stayed up to let me in and gave me some tea. The description of the place is quite accurate: it's near the center, quiet, there's enough space, the Internet is fast, and the little dog is friendly. The bathroom and the kitchen are downstairs, and at the time of my stay there were some renovations in the kitchen, but I'm sure after that is over, the place will feel even warmer and cosier.
I had a great stay at Alwyn's place. She was very helpful with everything and even had breakfast ready for me in the morning. And the dog is lovely!
I was warmly greeted by both Alwyn and her dog Jake, enjoyed a welcoming cup of tea and settled into my comfy room. Alwyn kindly offered me a lift to the tour meeting point ob Sunday morning. My first air BnB experience has been positive and trouble free, thanks Alwyn
