The apartment was clean and centrally located. We enjoyed our time in Madrid while staying there. No complaints about apartment, amenities, or our host. I had requested unscented sheets due to perfume allergies and Elisa graciously accommodated me! As others have mentioned, there is the cash fee for cleaning, which we would have preferred to pay as part of the overall fee for the apartment. We also discovered, after we arrived, that we would have to dispose of our trash ourselves. This was a bit disconcerting, because as out of town folks, where would we put our trash? As it was, someone's trash can was out in front of the building, but that was just a bit of luck because it wasn't there the day before.
I enjoyed my stay In Elisa's flat. It was clean, comfortable, and was in a great location. My only complaints are about the internet, which was only working about half the time. The flat was also a bit expensive with the 30 euro cleaning fee and we were charged a 30 euro fee for arriving late in the evening as well. The flat also doesn't have an oven, but you don't need to cook much when there are so many lovely tapas in Madrid. Overall, I had a comfortable stay. The comfy beds, clean flat, and central location were the best parts. The flat also has many Madrid guide books and a working tv (you can switch the channels from Spanish to English as well.)
The apartment was clean and very close to all the attractions. It was as promised in the advertisement. However, I did have to pay an extra 30 euros for arriving at 10pm. And that was on top of the added 30 euros for a cleaning fee. The internet was very bad. It barely worked. I am from the USA, and the only way to communicate with my family and friends in the USA is through wifi. It was unfortunate that I was not able to (website hidden) with my family during New Years Eve. I would say that the apartment is nice, however, it wound up being too expensive with all the added fees.
Espacioso y bien.dotado.Lo recomiendo
This apartment was very central so we found it so easy to et around and didn't need I use the metro at all!
Our family of four enjoyed staying at Calle del Olivar, and after a while felt quite at home in the neighbourhood. Though a small space, owner has thought of everything, including hair dryer, and we enjoyed hanging our clothes on the clothesline! In spite of heat, we managed to keep cool enough with a/c and fan, Thanks for your hospitality! Olivar has a very steep hill, good for us to keep in shape, may be hard for those who are not fit. The Rastro flea market is right near by and the Reina Isabel art gallery.
todo muy bien! realmente recomendable.
un poco feo el barrio.
el apartamento esta muy bien.
Ok room. Facilities were fine but not great. And know that they will ask you 15 euro's cleaning fees per day even though they do not state that on the AirBnB profile. Nice neigbourhood. Nice street with fun cafe and Hamburger diner.
Claudia came to meet us, and despite not speaking any English, was pretty helpful. If you're expecting the Ritz, dont book this apartment because it is very simple. However, the location is fantastic. It is walking distance to alot of sites in Madrid, and centrally located near the Metro.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
