With ample patio space at both the front and back of the cabin, you can enjoy your locally roasted morning coffee as the sun rises & bald eagles soar over Gastineau Channel, or settle in for the evening with a glass of wine & conversation around the fire pit.

While the surrounding forest offers peaceful seclusion, The Buoy is conveniently located within minutes of everything Juneau has to offer. Whether you are skiing the big mountain terrain at Eaglecrest, exploring the miles of world class hiking trails, or looking to enjoy the one of a kind shopping, dining, & cultural experiences of downtown, you will have quick & easy access to it all.

Cabin Quirks:

- PLEASE NOTE THE SHIP STAIRS - both bedrooms are located upstairs. We have installed several grab bars & a railing, but the stairs are still steep & would be hard for the elderly or people with mobility issues to navigate.

- Due to the stairs, we cannot host guests under 5.

- You must climb stairs to reach the cabin.

- You may hear our neighbors, road & air traffic.

If you take a left out of The Buoy, you'll be on your way to incredible hiking trails, beaches, the North Douglas boat launch (you can see the Mendenhall Glacier from there) Eaglecrest Ski Area & one of the best places in Juneau to watch the sunset during the summer.

We're the Buoy crew! My husband and I were both born and raised in Juneau, and our children are proud fifth-generation Alaskans. We love spending time in the mountains—camping, hiking, and exploring. You'll often find us out on the water, chasing fish and adventure. And when winter rolls in, we're on the slopes skiing and snowboarding. We feel incredibly lucky to call Juneau home, and we can’t wait to share a piece of it with you!
