Beautiful apartment in a super location with many great features of a period Berlin property including ample space!!
The room is approximately 27m sq nd faces west, with a balcony and large windows making the room bright and great for watching the sunset! The sofa bed is great to sleep on and as well as a dining area there is a TV with DVD player, This apartment's period features, modern decor and unbeatable location make staying here an absolute delight - high ceilings, a sunny balcony, wooden flooring from the 1900s, large west and east facing windows and clean, uncluttered furnishings are just some of the attributes that make this apartment so pleasant to stay in. The public overground line at Ostkreuz S-Bahn station that takes you to Alexanderplatz in 10 minutes is 4 minutes walk away. A 'späti' or late opening store is 2 minutes walk and the supermarket also 2 minutes walk.Friedrichshain itself is full of wonderful restaurants, unique boutiques, large green spaces near water and of course nightlife to satisfy any taste. We provide a folder with all our own knowledge about the area to help you discover some local secrets...As host I really enjoy helping guests out with their travel arrangements, plans in Berlin and any tips for 'something different' to do. For example I can come to the nearest S-Bahn station to meet you if you are new to Berlin and don't feel in the mood to get lost! In general I will do whatever I can to be of help. (Check out my reviews for examples :-) )

We had a great weekend in Berlin. Julia was a good host and gave us a lot of insider tips on enjoying and chilling in Berlin (restaurants, bars, places to be). The accommodation was as per description, has a good transport connection by train, but you have to walk about 10 to 15 min to the next lively place. All together nice holidays.
We really enjoyed our time in Berlin staying at Julia's. She provided good directions and we found the place easily. Julia and her partner were helpful and made us feel at home. The room was spacious and clean, although it not the room described and does not have a balcony. There is a lot to explore in Friedrichshain and surrounding areas, you just have to be a bit adventurous to find the many hidden gems.
We had a very pleasant stay at Julia's place.
Two very sweet cats welcomed us, and made us feel at home immediately.
We travelled by bike, Julia's place is very accessible.
We had a lovely time, thanks!
The room clean, nice and spacious. The thing is though it is not the room on the first pictures and in the description, but the one on pictures 20-22 so no balcony and no sofa bed - apart from the foldable one you sleep on. I would also point out the cats, they are gorgeous but really furry so if you have allergy, do take your pills. Otherwise the stay was pleasant, the area close to metro and quiet.

Hi there! I'm originally from the beautiful garden of England (to be precise, a county called Kent) but have long since wandered far and wide from the British nest after finishing my veterinary BVSc in 2007....
....after living and working in Nice, Shanghai, Hawaii and other such fascinating destinations (working with start ups and blossoming companies), I stumbled accidentally across Germany's glorious capital city. I knew then that nowhere on earth could beat this city's electric vibe...and so here I have stayed!
I am sure you will love Berlin and the district of Friedrichshain where my apartment is. Viel spaß!!!
