Beautiful apartment in a super location with many great features of a period Berlin property including ample space!!
The room is approximately 27m sq nd faces west, with a balcony and large windows making the room bright and great for watching the sunset! The sofa bed is great to sleep on and as well as a dining area there is a TV with DVD player, This apartment's period features, modern decor and unbeatable location make staying here an absolute delight - high ceilings, a sunny balcony, wooden flooring from the 1900s, large west and east facing windows and clean, uncluttered furnishings are just some of the attributes that make this apartment so pleasant to stay in. The public overground line at Ostkreuz S-Bahn station that takes you to Alexanderplatz in 10 minutes is 4 minutes walk away. A 'späti' or late opening store is 2 minutes walk and the supermarket also 2 minutes walk.Friedrichshain itself is full of wonderful restaurants, unique boutiques, large green spaces near water and of course nightlife to satisfy any taste. We provide a folder with all our own knowledge about the area to help you discover some local secrets...As host I really enjoy helping guests out with their travel arrangements, plans in Berlin and any tips for 'something different' to do. For example I can come to the nearest S-Bahn station to meet you if you are new to Berlin and don't feel in the mood to get lost! In general I will do whatever I can to be of help. (Check out my reviews for examples :-) )
Other Things to Note
WE HAVE CATS IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY DO NOT BOOK!!!
Leave me as you find me :-) And if you stay longer than a week, please be aware that we will send a cleaner into the apartment at no extra charge other than the standard cleaning fee for Air B n B.....
The room clean, nice and spacious. The thing is though it is not the room on the first pictures and in the description, but the one on pictures 20-22 so no balcony and no sofa bed - apart from the foldable one you sleep on. I would also point out the cats, they are gorgeous but really furry so if you have allergy, do take your pills. Otherwise the stay was pleasant, the area close to metro and quiet.
I have stayed at Julia's for a couple of days during winter 2015 and can't recommend her place highly enough.
She has an amazing apartment in Friedrichshain, very close to one of Berlin's main train stations.
The room is very comfortable and the apartment perfectly clean. You'll get a room with a double bed and share the washroom.
Her boyfriend and her will give you great tips to discover Berlin's utmost spots.
Also, they are great people to chat with - both of them are plenty of energy and very smart.
Pack your bags and go there right now!
Julia was very helpful throughout our stay with her, especially when I needed to contact the police.
Her place is very close to the station, making it very easy to get around.
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Julia! Sie war sehr unkompliziert und hatte auf Anfrage tolle Tipps zu Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Hi there! I'm originally from the beautiful garden of England (to be precise, a county called Kent) but have long since wandered far and wide from the British nest after finishing my veterinary BVSc in 2007....
....after living and working in Nice, Shanghai, Hawaii and other such fascinating destinations (working with start ups and blossoming companies), I stumbled accidentally across Germany's glorious capital city. I knew then that nowhere on earth could beat this city's electric vibe...and so here I have stayed!
I am sure you will love Berlin and the district of Friedrichshain where my apartment is. Viel spaß!!!
