This is a wonderful, quaint beach home (in a quiet residential neighborhood), with a great view of Rockaway Beach. It's a 30 second sprint from the home to the beach, which we enjoyed. We used the home's stock of kitchen supplies to make a large dinner during our stay.
Our favorite part of the home was the rocking porch swing - great for watching beach sunsets! The home was perfect for two couples, as each couple got an enormous bed and bathroom. We were amused at the home's large collection of games - from Yahtzee to Candyland. Overall, good experience and a good price.
I booked short notice and got a response within the hour, was very impressed. The house was perfect for a quick weekend getaway with a great view of Rockaway beach.
Pat's beach house was a perfect choice for our trip to the Oregon coast. We found that Rockaway Beach itself was a fantastic place to rest in between traveling along the coast, as there are so many beautiful places to see on either side. The surrounding area is BEAUTIFUL, very quaint and quiet, with plenty of options for food and drink nearby. The views from both sides of the house were fantastic, with almost immediate access to the beach. Accomodations were exactly as described, very comfortable and fairly spacious. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Tracey answered all of our questions cheerfully and gave us all the information we required to have a wonderful time.
We had a great weekend at Pat's Beach House. The house had everything we needed and our two older dogs were welcome (they especially liked the doggie door!). Beautiful views from the front yard, living room, and backyard. Tracey was easy to communicate with. We would definitely come back to this place again!
We really enjoyed staying with our friends here at Oceanview (Pat's place). It's a family friendly location just a few steps from the beautiful and empty beach, and a short walk from a historic (working!) steam train and a grocery store. The kitchen was perfect for cooking large meals, and the rooms were spacious enough for a travel crib beside the comfortable beds. Tracey was very helpful and responded quickly to my questions.
Cozy home with everything we needed literally steps from the sand. We also really enjoyed the board games at the house :)

I am originally from Alaska, where I grew up on an island in SE Alaska, aka the famous Inside Passage where all the cruise ships go...love cruising. That is probably where I got my itch to travel. There are only two ways off an island, boat or plane. Luckily those long dark winters give you lots of time to think of other places to be. So now, I am trying to get to all the ones I can remember, places others have recommended, and have found a few more destinations to add to the list.
I am now an Alaskan transplanted to the beautiful Oregon Coast for the past, wow 20+ years now. It reminds me of home, only with the benefits of cheaper airline tickets, and the ability to get in the car and drive more than 20 miles..on pavement too.
I have lived in Nehalem, Or for the past 20+ years and just love being on the Oregon coast. The Nehalem Bay area & N Oregon coast is an incredible place to live, for us lucky few, and to visit. There is great hiking, fishing, beach combing, restaurants, shopping, and tons more to do here all while having the stunning Pacific Ocean to the west and the Coastal Mnt Range to the east.
Loves to travel for new smells, sounds, food, people, and language. My favorite places include Palm Springs, Barbados, Vegas, and anywhere in France, Greece, or Spain and am adding Portugal (added June '14). Dying to go to Brazil, Maldives, Morocco, Istanbul, Dubai and_________ (fill in the blank).
