Great place, nice location. Just too many rules. Asking $50 if you don't wash and dry towels or linens, or dishes, or recycle. They can purchase second set of towers and just don't bother their guests with rules. When you rent for few nights it is just too much hustle.

Good location. You do see the ocean but there is a house directly across the street blocking some of the view. Beach access was easy and is less crowded than some other beaches in the area. The king beds are really comfortable.

Please make sure you read through all his policy before booking. When I book it, I didn't notice that we have to wash the sheets and towels before we leave. The host remind me that I have to do this when I was on the way there. I was very surprised because all the airbnb that I took before never asked for it. Then the host cancelled my booking right before I was heading there while I didn't say that I won't do laundry. Since we have two families and kids, it's very hard to find an good accommodation in just several hours, I had to apologize again and again and finally made him accept our stay when I re-book it. We had to get up early and finished four loads of laundry before we leave. The most disappointed part is that all the sheets on the beds are soppy when we want to sleep. Probably because the previous guest didn't have enough time to finish laundry so they put the soppy sheet on by the check-out time.

We really enjoyed this house. We stayed there with 4 adults, a toddler, a baby and a dog! It had plenty of room for all of us. Tracey even provided a pack and play crib for the baby! The kitchen had everything we needed - we cooked every night. There were lots of beach toys and trucks to our grandson's delight. The view from the front porch was lovely and we enjoyed watching the sunsets. The walk to the beach was super easy and the beach was wide open with very few other people on it. We read other reviews about the difficult check-out laundry process so we opted to bring our own kitchen and bath towels so we could just wash them once we got back home. Simply washing sheets the final morning was easy and the other clean up tasks were the things I normally do when I leave a rental house so we felt it was very easy to check out. We all agreed that this house was great and highly recommend it to other families.

Great quiet location with views of the ocean out the front and Lake Lytle out the back. Easy beach access less than a block away. Clean, comfortable, well appointed and exactly as described in the listing. Master bed was very comfortable with great linens and comforter.

Location, location, location!! We loved being steps away from the beach and being able to hear the waves crash as we laid in bed at night. The outside patio was a great spot to eat a take out pizza dinner as we watched the sunset. There was a lot of room for a family of 5. Having 2 full bathrooms was priceless! Some of the down sides of this place is that it is an older home and there are a lot of knick knacks that I was afraid we're going to get broken with small children in our group. The bed was comfy but the rooms felt a little musty. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean though. As other people mentioned the cleaning rules were kind of a pain in the butt. We started washing towels and sheets at 8am (when the kids got up) but were unable to finish them by the 11am check out. The dryer wasn't working well even on high and we had to dry longer than expected. As for the trash we just took it with us to avoid being charged because we were unsure what was considered a recyclable item. All in all we really enjoyed this location so it was worth putting up with the rules.

I am originally from Alaska, where I grew up on an island in SE Alaska, aka the famous Inside Passage where all the cruise ships cruising. That is probably where I got my itch to travel. There are only two ways off an island, boat or plane. Luckily those long dark winters give you lots of time to think of other places to be. So now, I am trying to get to all the ones I can remember, places others have recommended, and have found a few more destinations to add to the list.
I am now an Alaskan transplanted to the beautiful Oregon Coast for the past, wow 20+ years now. It reminds me of home, only with the benefits of cheaper airline tickets, and the ability to get in the car and drive more than 20 miles..on pavement too.
I have lived in Nehalem, Or for the past 20+ years and just love being on the Oregon coast. The Nehalem Bay area & N Oregon coast is an incredible place to live, for us lucky few, and to visit. There is great hiking, fishing, beach combing, restaurants, shopping, and tons more to do here all while having the stunning Pacific Ocean to the west and the Coastal Mnt Range to the east.

Loves to travel for new smells, sounds, food, people, and language. My favorite places include Palm Springs, Barbados, Vegas, and anywhere in France, Greece, or Spain and am adding Portugal (added June '14). Dying to go to Brazil, Maldives, Morocco, Istanbul, Dubai and_________ (fill in the blank).
