Lake View B&B Pletna (3 star) is one of only a few family-run guest houses ideally located directly across from the lake where its guests can have a swim from the private pier infront of the house or they can hire a wooden rowing boat at a special offer to visit the island.
It is set in a small picturesque lakeside village of Mlino where the shore seems only a stone's throw to the little island in the middle of the lake and where the main pletna boats' wharf is located. The busier town centre is just a leisurely 15-minute stroll away from the guesthouse.
However perfect in location, we have to honestly inform our potential guests, especially light sleepers, that our location is not a very quiet one, especially during the day, due to the fact that the B&B is also situated right off the main road to Bohinj lake. For the majority of our guests the beautiful views make it up for it.
Furthermore, there are also a Tourist Information Point and an Ethnogallery of local arts and crafts on the premises. Closeby are the local bus station, two restaurants as well as a grocery store.
Short stays up to three nights in a double room already from 60€ high season/ 50€ low season on. Prices do not include the obligatory tourist tax (1,01 per person per day). Breakfast is optional (6€ per person per day).
-boat rentals-starting hour 12€, additional hour free of charge)
-byke, mountain byke rentals (1h-3€,2h-5€...)
-kayak rentals (5€ per hour)
HIGH SEASON POLICY:
During the highest season (August, New Year's holidays, Easter holidays, busy weekends) the reservations for one or two nights only are made on the last minute basis!
Interaction with Guests
Dear guests, one-night reservations are also welcome in our B&B, but please, take into consideration that during the high season months (June-Sept) and due to a rather small capacity (only 5 rooms) one night reservations are done only on a very last minute basis a day or two before the very day, unless there is a one-night gap in our reservation scedule.
Thank you very much for your understanding:)
Travelling by bus from Ljubljana or Lesce, it is easy to find us only one 100m from the lake-side bus stop Mlino, the first bus stop after the main bus station in Bled.
Other Things to Note
please, take into account that due to a rather small capacity one-night reservations during the high season (June - Sept) are made only on a very last minute basis, a few days prior to guest's arrival or if an in-between vacancy for the very day occurs.
The cost of the additional guest is meant for the guest who is staying as a third person in a triple room.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
We expect our guests to respect other guests' needs for peaceful nights as well as to show respect for our cleaning lady's work.
We had a fabulous stay at B&B Pletna! Both our rooms were extremely clean and had completely unobstructed views of the lake. Mojca was wonderful and helped us change our reservation at the last minute. She greeted us when we arrived, provided helpful info about Bled, and arranged our taxi when we missed our bus! She's awesome! Wish we could have stayed longer.
This private room is really cosy and comfortable. Most importantly, it's easy to get there from Ljubljana. The host gives us clear direction and even offer to pick us up from the train station, but we took the bus instead. Bled is a small town so you may walk around even this location is not at the centre.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Pletna B&B. Mojica is the reflection of Slovenians: extremely welcoming and very helpful. The room was very clean, the views were exceptional and it is only located at about 10 minutes walk from the village (or 1 bus stop away from the main bus station).
My only recommendation is that she advertised the laundry situation a little better. Even though she does have a washer and dryer, it is not available for self usage. She actually does your laundry for you but charge 10 euros for it. I thought that the price was a little exaggerated and if I would have known that, I would have packed accordingly.
A lovely B and B (commercial one). Right on the lake, friendly hosts and close to bus stop from Ljubljana (the one after the main Bled one).
We rented boats and rowed out, nice but chilly in November!
Breakfast is not included, unless you stay for a few nights I think.
Just the best location facing the church and the lake! It was cute, charming and comfortable! Convenient with a market a few doors down (closes at noon on Saturday and closed all Sunday!) you can rent a boat from them and make your way across the beautiful lake to the church. Guests get 2 hours for the price of one. Didn't get a chance to meet Mojca, but the people there were very helpful! Highly recommend :)
It's a family run B&B, more like a little nice hotel with room service. The room has a lovely patio facing Bled lake, which is amazing. The room is clean and tidy, shower is good, no kitchen through, but it's not a big deal as there a plenty of restaurants near by. And we rented a boat from the owner to get to the island in the middle of the lake. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, and would highly recommend this place to anyone who travel to lake Bled.
The location is right on the lake and a short distance to town, nice and easy 10 min walk. They also rent boats right across the street and you get an extra hour as a guest. Mojca was a great host and we loved having the optional breakfast on the patio, it was a nice breakfast, good value and eating with that lake view was terrific. Only negative is we had a first floor room facing the lake and the traffic on the street is loud.
My family is my upmost priority. The running of a B&B allows me to spend a lot of time with my three children: VId, Zala, Manca and my husband Robert, a rowing coach.
I love, and we all love travelling. Every year, I am looking very forward to spending my family's October holidays. Last year we were exploring Sardinia and the years before Spain and Portugal.
We always take louds of photos on our journeys and watch them over and over again back home
I love sports. I had been playing volleyball for almost 20 years in two different clubs, Bled and Klagenfurt.
On Tuesday evenings I still hardly ever miss my volleyball training:)
During the busy months I miss reading, but during the off season I make it up for it.
I enjoy reading foreign language books. In this way I can train my proficiency.
My life motto? There are many. The one that comes to my mind at the very moment and concerns our B&B: We do not promise, what we can not offer.
