The room was clean, well appointed and just as described. Bill, the host, was a great communicator and I enjoyed staying here. The house is clean and the furniture was comfortable. The area that this house is located is in a suburban street, so it's quiet, very quiet and there is a plethora of shops and restaurants nearby as well as a train station, so all in all, close to everything and a nice place to stay.
Room is comfortable and cozy. It was nice to have a loft bed as it left more room for our furniture. It was nice to have the private courtyard for hanging our clothes- in the summer it would be nice to sit out there. The kitchen is large and decently equipped, but more suited to making simple meals (package ravioli with a salad for example) than making large meals. That said, you are right near a strip of well priced restaurants ranging from dumplings to Korean of pots to fish and chips, so it would be easy to eat out every night. Location is great- short walk to train station, woolworths and restaurants.
Très bon rapport qualité prix ! Proche des stations de tram et de train, à 20 min du centre ville. Bill est disponible et très réactif. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et sympathiser avec les autres hôtes de nationalités toutes différentes, un très bon moment !
+ Location (located near to public transport, supermarket and restaurants)
+ Amenities (Internet, sofa, bed and TV)
+ Room: Nice and clean
+ Private balcony was a plus! :)
+ Bill is a great host, very straight-forward and easy to communicate with.
- Communal areas really needs more cleaning up. :(
- Internet is slow and could use some improvements.
Overall: Great room with complete amenities and great location. Recommended for short term stay.
Overall room is in modern condition .
Good for short stay.
People staying there long term is ok friendly.
I can do my laundry etc but for cooking the kitchen is a bit tight
for many people cooking .
Small meal ok --cook sausages etc ok.
Present stay. except for toilet need some work there .
The room itself was clean and nice, but the communal areas were less so. If you're going to be spending most of your time out and about in Melbourne, then it's easy to just come back and crash. If you're planning on cooking much, however, I'd recommend finding somewhere else to stay.
