Very clean, definitely cute. Beds were not very comfy
We tried to contact the hostess Cynthia but she did not return our calls
Fortunately we worked out our concerns
Lovely location loved mill valley
Diane called twice, 2 minutes apart, and left one 10 second message saying she could not find the cottage. I did not see that she had called until one hour later as we were having our family dinner and then occupied with children and homework. By the time I received her very short message she had arrived. We are sorry that she had trouble finding our cottage, but once she arrived we did not wish to disturb her (a practice we make clear to all our guests in a welcome letter when they arrive). She did not attempt to contact us again at any time during her stay, which we always take as a sign that all is well!
Comfort of beds is a very personal preference, and while the occasional guest has commented on the pullout sofa bed (and who expects those to be super cozy!) we have had many, many guests over the years who have told us what a wonderful night's sleep they had.
We would be happy to have Diane return.
Great cottage and great host!
We stayed in this sunny cottage while visiting family in Mill Valley. The cottage has great energy and was perfect for us. Our three year old loved the toys and watching the chickens in the back yard. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and relax in. We'll definitely be recommending the garden cottage to other friends and family!
Ooh, I loved this little cottage so much that I ended up extending my stay! It's in a great location and Cynthia is welcoming and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful week!
We were three adult women traveling to SF for business, sharing this beautiful home. We loved every minute of it. So nice to find a spotlessly clean, attractive, homey, and well maintained place to stay. We look forward to coming back and staying again!
The cottage was just as cute as advertised -- clean and cozy! Cynthia and her husband were courteous and considerate and communicated well to make sure our needs were met. We will definitely come back here if our journey brings us back to Mill Valley!
Cynthia's place in Mill Valley was just what the doctor ordered. I took a day off from work to relax on my birthday. The cottage had everything I could need to make a couple of healthy breakfasts to start my day, lots of blankets for the pleasantly cool evenings and the location was perfect.
I walked down to town in about 10 minutes to grab some snacks at Whole Foods and unwind in a park with a book. It was also a 10 minute drive from a great trail head to climb Mount Tam (highly recommended if you've got some time - great view!). Cynthia even provides a basket brimming with maps for the local area (very helpful for picking my Mt Tam route).
I will definitely be back next time I need to unwind on the West Coast.
