Avonlea is a newly refurbished (2024), self-contained cottage overlooking Tomintoul village square, and offers a luxurious holiday experience in quaint village life.

The space
This stunning cottage is tucked away in a quiet corner of the village square, and is uniquely styled with interiors reflecting a love of art and design. William Morris patterns and characterful furnishings are a theme throughout.

Relax in the cosy living room with comfy sofas, a wood burning stove, original artworks, and a smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen, with dining table and range-style oven, is stocked with essential food stuffs. There is a handy boot room, with wooden pulley for drying off outdoor attire, that leads you to the back door. Also on the ground floor is a bright and airy bathroom with over-bath shower. Soaps, bubble bath, and luxurious towels are provided.

Upstairs you will find the sumptuous main bedroom (bedroom 1) with king-size bed, cotton sheets, wardrobe, chest of drawers, under bed storage drawers, smart TV, and blackout curtains.

Along the corridor is the twin bedroom (bedroom 2), decorated with an enchanting feature wall, chest of drawers, tv with Amazon Firestick, and blackout curtains.

There is a small powder room, with a toilet, between the upstairs bedrooms.

Downstairs, to the right of the front door (and through an internal door), is the downstairs bedroom (bedroom 3) with king-size bed, cotton sheets, wardrobe, chest of drawers, smart TV, and blackout blind. It is gorgeously decorated with a theme of misty ferns and grasses, with a mural wall to accentuate the motif.

Take in the local happenings of the village square from the outdoor seating area at the front of the house.

The cottage has its own private front door and porch. At the side of the building is a private parking space for your use.

A generous amount of firewood is supplied.

Guest access
To the right of the downstairs bedroom door is an internal door that leads to separate privately-owned accommodation. This door is always locked from the other side.

Outside, at the back of the property, there is a locked garden gate leading to a private garden (not included in your booking). Guests are not permitted beyond this point. You may see the host's dogs enjoying this private garden space.
