ROOM: The room you'll be staying in is upstairs, and has a wooden floor. The closet is 135 cm by 60 cm. The room is 275 cm by 250 cm. The window faces South East, so it gets a lot of morning sun. We can furnish it with a chest of drawers, a bed mattress, electric heater and/or a desk, or we can move them out of the way. Just let us know.
SECURITY: Your room will also be lockable, and you will be given a key.
SLEEPING SURFACE: Queen Size bed, pillows, linen.
ACCESS TO HOUSE: You'd be given a key to the house, to come and go as you please. We'll need to arrange a time that works for checking in/out so that it works for all of us.
ACCESS TO INTERNET: Wireless internet (25 MBPS from Shaw). We have a 5 GHz secure and a 2.4 GHz public option, using 802.11 b, g, and n mixed signals.
KITCHEN: kitchen + cooking appliances, dishwasher included in price. We can give you a space in the fridge and shelf. Additionally, there is a shelf of free food, feel free to eat stuff from that shelf. We expect you to wash your own dishes (or put them in the dishwasher if it fits nicely). We also have a deep freezer in the basement.
SHOWER: Shower usage is included in the price. If you don't have your own shampoo/soap/conditioner, you can use ours, no problem. If you need a towel, please let us know in advance, and we'll make sure that one is clean for you. If you forget to let us know, it might take some time to wash a towel for you, as we don't have too many spares.
WASHING CLOTHING: Washer and dryer are included in the price. We also have a bucket of cheap powder detergent that you can freely use.
GUESTS: You can bring guests over to the house, as long as they are respectful. Our house is open and inviting to guests.
LOCATION: House is close to the University, grocery store, and Brentwood train and bus station. Transit cost 3.00$ for 90 minutes, with unlimited transfers. I can give directions to/from airport, greyhound station or wherever you are coming in from. We also have transit maps available for you, and transit tickets upon requests (so you don't need to have exact change, but you will need to pay me in the end for used tickets).
PARKING: Parking in front of the house is free, but it does get a little full from 8 AM - 5 PM sometimes because people often park in front of our house and transit into the city for work.
HOUSEMATES: We're friendly, we can usually take you hiking in the Rockies on weekends if interested (inquire), or organize social events for you to meet other Calgarians. These are the people you need to keep happy; you don't need to talk to them much, but if you make them uncomfortable or feel unsafe in your presence, you will no longer be allowed to stay with us.

I really enjoyed the time I spent at BlowHouse. They all gave me a very warm welcome to Calgary. My room and the rest of the common places were tidy and clean. Very good experience, 100% recommendable.
Marc is a terrific host. Any questions about the city, he will answer you ! Marc even invited me to a party so that I could meet some of his friend.
Marc was really nice along with his roommates. The house is only a 5-10 minute walk to the train which was really handy and the room was a good size. We didn't get to say goodbye and thankyou!
Marc is a good host even though we saw him rarely. The House is nice and the room was good.
Thank you for having us!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This place is in a great location (3 minute walk from Brentwood Station) and Marc is an exceptional host. Everyone at the house is very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Would certainly stay here again. Thanks again Marc.
Marc is a great host. Being in the blow street for a month was a peaceful and nice time. His rommies are animated and nice people who always give you a smile.
Talking with Marc is very interesting, always have a nice way of saying his ideas.
This place its great for beginning your new life in Calgary.
I recommend this place for future Calgary travelers. As we say in Mexico, It is a Good, Nice and Cheap (Bueno, bonito y barato) place.
Thanks for everything Marc.
I moved to Calgary from Ontario at the beginning of the month and chose to stay at Marc's place for my first 4 nights here. I definitely made the right decision. Marc and his roommates were great hosts. They were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable and definitely felt like home away from home. Was also very handy that the 7/11 and an amazing pizza place were close by. I would recommend Marc's place to anyone who's looking to stay somewhere for a few nights and wants to feel as welcome as possible. No complaints at all!
Marc is a very welcoming host, he gave us plenty of information even though we only stayed for one night. A good choice for travelling students!
Marc was a great host and was very accommodating on my last minute request to stay. The bed was comfortable and Marc was very helpful providing directions on where to go.
