About This Listing
Our beautiful little studio space has a modern feel and is brilliantly located for all the fun of local Brixton. It's also very easy to get around London from here and takes only 15-20 minutes to get to Oxford Circus on the tube. Wifi very strong!
Our Garden studio is a beautifully converted former garage/coachouse. We have lived in the house next door since 1998 and know the area very well. We are now selling the property in order to downsize in London but the studio is still available to rent for a few months.
The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, with EXCELLENT TRANSPORTATION to the centre......
10-15 minutes walk from Clapham North anad Brixton tube stations. Max 15-20 minutes away from any site in the centre.
Brixton centre has a very positive vibe and the relatively recent regeneration of Brixton village has brought the area on to the the London FOODIE map...MORLEYS department store has pretty much everything, including a Top Shop outlet and a MAC counter. Clothes shops include very good value H and M, New Look and TK Max.
The Brixton Lido in Brockwell Park has a super Gym and an outdoor pool.
The total space of this property is approx 16 square meters. Tall ceilinged, but the sleeping platform is only 1.2 metres high so its a bit of a struggle for "oldies" I've been told.
The Wet room (bathroom) is spacious and has a large Powershower and is tiled in black slate. (You will find little extras such as cotton pads, earbuds, deodorant, shower gel).
There's a hair dryer and Washer Drier machine
The sleeping platform has a double mattress fitted with luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, duvet and comfortable pillows.
We supply you with towels.
There is a TV /radio and Wi-Fi connection is very good as broadband has just been installed
Breakfast isn't included but the cooking facilities are excellent with an electric hob, oven and fridge. Ideal for preparing your packed lunch for the day or a cosy dinner at home. Sainsbury's supermarket at the end of the road has everything you need and there are plenty of take aways in the area too if you don't feel like cooking.
The cupboards are full of oils, herbs and spices, tea, coffee, sugar and you'll find mineral water and a few english items in the fridge such as mustard, jam etc.
We're about 10 mins walk from either Clapham OR Brixton and in a nice quiet street so you'll be able to enjoy a lie in if you've had a late night.
If there's anything you need that isn't in the studio, we're happy to provide it.
Interaction with Guests
We are always available via email. Travelling this January/ February. You'll be met at the studio by our good friends Jack and Kasia who will show you everything.
It's a really quiet area. Away from the city..... but central. Brixton has a lovely "local" feel, is multicultural and colourful with lots of great places to eat and drink
The public transport is fabulous! There are nearly ten buses at the end of the road that take you to nearly everywhere in London! and there are two underground stations, (Clapham North and Brixton) only 10-12 minutes walk away.
Please try and take your shoes off at the door
Please arrange a time to hand keys back to Jack or Kasia in person before leaving
Please respect our neighbours and don't play loud music late at night.
Please put the rubbish outside on Monday night in the black wheelie bin of 54 Lambert Road.
Try and leave the place as you found it :)
REMEMBER TO LOCK BOTH THE GARDEN AND THE STREET DOORS EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE
We thank you for your consideration
Excellent communication from Elizabeth from the time of my enquiry right until I checked out. She was very helpful in giving me directions from the airport, and answering any questions I had. The place was very cool and exactly as advertised and reviewed. Had a great stay and was in a great location. Would definitely recommend to others for their stay in the Brixton area!
Great little studio and handy for both Clapham North and Brixton Tube. Well appointed and nice little touches such as toiletries in the bathroom which guests were welcome to use. Lizzie and Alice were very friendly and professional. Comfy bed!
Superb stay. The place is really nice and quiet but within easy reach of Brixton's restaurants and happenings, as well as the tube. Lizzie was a great host who had made sure everything was on hand to ensure a great stay--from milk in the fridge to herbs and spices and even and electric towel rail, this was really a top notch air bnb and very reasonably priced too for the location.
Sweet little place with comfy bed, good kitchen well equipped and lovely hot shower. Very clean and nice vibe. Did miss little table to have food on, shower room meant that everything in there got quite wet and there was a Saturday night party literally next door. - however all in all great place and good location.
