Ive owned this great condo for 4+ years now...and love every day I spend here. You will too! It is now home to me and my extraordinarily charming boyfriend Len. I am originally from Vermont and have worked at 3 of the major Shoe brands doing Apparel sportswear design since graduating from RISD in 2001. He is a California bay area transplant and bicycle fanatic , glad to have made it through his first Boston winter. He may well be a better cook even than I so youll be in GREAT hands!

The kitchen is also newly renovated and is all stainless w/great fossilized granite counters...and We have plenty of cooking supplies if youd like to take advantage and whip yourself up a meal.
If you come during the warmer months you can take advantage of a treehouse feel off the back deck....or privacy on the gigantic roofdeck w/a chimnea to make a fun fire. or practice your hula hooping skills.

The Designer's Haven was a wonderful place to spend my first night on the East Coast. Located in the most artsy, fun part of the city. I was greeted with a refreshing drink and had a great time visiting with Becky and Len. Look forward to spending more time in Boston coming up and hope to make it back to their neighborhood!
Thanks Becky for the warm welcome.
To visitors: The flat is charming and the hosts are wonderful. Becky has a gift for making you feel confortable. The cat are particularly cuddly. The neighborhood is pleasantly green and quiet but at the same time not far from downtown.
HOLY MOLEY! This place is fantastic. Becky and her BF are wonderful hosts. The place is stunning, the location is great, and the experience was wonderful. Becky got up each morning to chat and made me a healthy breakfast. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in the area.
Becky was the perfect host! A clear communicator adept at giving excellent directions (especially for someone not at all familiar with Boston!), Becky made sure I had a clean, comfortable spot to come back to in the evening. The patio really does feel like you're in a treehouse, and the rooftop balcony cannot be beat! This was my first time using airbnb, and designers haven was a great introduction - but may have set the standard ridiculously high!
Becky was a lovely hostess. Extremely accessible and accommodating, especially considering the chaos that occurred immediately following the Marathon bombing. I ended up having to cancel my first night and she refunded me right away. Very ethical and considerate. Love her place! Her friendly cats are an extension of her own outgoing and lovely personality. I highly recommend a stay with Becky. There was on-street parking right outside her building which was a big plus coming to Boston by car, and her quinoa breakfast was to die for! Enjoy!
Becky, Mr. Len, Turtle, and Frog were most gracious hosts! If there were an AirBnB category for "Super Cool Host / Hostess" they would be a it! Everything was as described, and very open about things that would effect my stay. I much enjoyed our limited time visiting with each other. Did get some quality time with Turtle (clumsy cat) and Frog (overly affectionate cat), the two are cool cats that respected my space when needed.
The bedroom and mattress were super dream! Would have enjoyed spending more time at the "designers haven", as it was inspiring and comfy.
Real good and close restaurants that were recommended. Was told by other Boston folks that "Jamaica Plains is a hot up and coming neighborhood" and "the next Cambridge" I can see why!
Becky and Len were delightful ... so were Frog and Turtle, the condo, and the neighborhood. Comfortable bed, great kitchen, cozy. In warmer weather we would have used the decks. Parking is difficult on their one-way dead end, but free street parking was always available a short walk away. Becky and Len were gone most of the time we were there so we had the run of the place, making it perfect for our 9 day stay. Otherwise might be a bit too cozy for some with the one small bathroom, but Becky and Len are so friendly and easy going, and we missed their cooking (Becky made a giant pile of scones for us before she headed off).
Becky's place was a fun, clean place to stay and I would consider staying there again. Even on the chilly Boston evenings that I was there, the guest bed was super warm and cozy. There is an amazing roofdeck, an incredible new rain shower in the recently renovated bathroom and I was pleasantly surprised at my luck in finding parking on her street and at the cross street throughout my stay. I would want others to know that when I stayed there Becky also had a boyfriend living with her, so FYI all of the living spaces and bathroom are coed. It was nice to meet both of them and I hope to stay in touch!
Becky's home really is a haven! Her guestroom is really comfy, Becky is very welcoming and fun! I wish I would have stayed longer! The neighborhood is quiet and nice, nice restaurants around, especially the "Haven"! Don't miss the chance to discover these Havens!
Becky and Lem were wonderful, friendly hosts who not only have a super sweet funky cozy place, but Becky actually baked an apple gallette for breakfast. Seriously. It was above and beyond. Definitely stay with these two if you are in Boston!
