Stephan nous a contactés avant notre arrivée, le petit mot de bienvenue et les précisions concernant notre arrivée ont été appréciés.
Stephan's apartment is right in the place to be: Prenzlauer Berg. Just around the corner you'll find the wonderful Oderberger Street and the busy Kastanienallee, and you will be able to enjoy the Kultur Breuerei and the Mauer Park.
We found the apartment as shown in the pictures, very clean and spacious, with lots of natural light and room for our luggage and belongings.
There was just a teeny tiny "but": it was very hot in Berlin when we were there, the apartment has no air conditioning so we had to sleep with the windows open and Shönhauser allee is a quite busy street in terms of traffic, so it was pretty noisy. But if the weather is ok and you don't need to open the window, the soundproofing is really good and the matress is super comfortable.
Thank you Stephan! Your apartment rocks!
Thanks lot for your very kind review, Laura. It was a great pleasure to welcome you in Berlin. It's very nice to hear you enjoyed the apartment and the area so much. Indeed you visited Berlin during its hottest Summer days - barely any Berlin flat will have air conditioning, hence sleeping with open windows will indeed expose you to some of the flat's "urban charm"! We hope to welcome you back soon!
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay in this flat: big and comfy enough for four adults, nicely furnished and complete with any kind of tools and devices for a comfortable stay, greatly positioned in the beautiful and charming Prenzlauer Berg quarter and very close to the metro station. Stephan has been very responsive and helpful from the first moment we got in touch and his colleague Will who was at the flat welcoming us has been kind and discrete with us. A very positive experience!
The flat was perfect for our family of 4. Nice notes on good places to eat and to listen to music. Great location for public transportation or walking. Very clean and everything needed was available. Would highly recommend. Although we never met Stephen, Will was wonderful and very helpful.
Great location and clean and tidy apartment. All communication was excellent and everything we needed was provided (plus some - much appreciated!!) Tourist information and local information excellent, with some great eating and drinking recommendations. If you like windows open for fresh air - then you will need to be a bit noise tolerant - this is on a main road. We really enjoyed our stay though and would return to this apartment - the area around it is one of the best in Berlin.
The flat is great and very good located in the cool neighbourhood of Prenzlauer Berg, only few steps from many bars, cafes and restaurants. Rewe store is 5 min away - very convenient. Good transportation with the U2 line, 5 min walk from the apartement. Will, our contact person was very nice and brought us 2 fans which helped us to survive the big hit in Berlin during the first week of July. The apartment is great, comfy double bed, well equiped and clean, but not recommended during a warm weather (above 25 degrees) as there is no A/C and the curtains do not block the sun and the hit coming from the big windows at the appartment, facing the mor ning sun. You can't sleep with the window open as the apartment is facing a main street with lots of traffic. Other than that - it's a great place to stay.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review, Daphne, and thanks again for staying at my apartment. It was a pleasure to welcome you and it's great to hear you enjoyed the apartment. Temperatures over 25 degrees C are very rare in Berlin, hence barely any flat will have air conditioning, and whenever a heatwave strikes, we will enjoy it as long as it lasts! But we are glad that the fans helped. Please come back to visit us again soon (maybe when it is a bit cooler).

About the Host, Stephan
I love travelling and therefore want to make sure my guests have a fantastic experience too.
I split time between London and Berlin but also enjoy travelling to other major cities or some remote destinations.... this could be in the mountains or somewhere on a beach.
I also like reading, writing, music, going out, working out and eating well!
