The Royal Exchange Insurance Building is an historic San Francisco Landmark. This unique building was the first commercial building completed downtown after the 1906 earthquake. In 2006, it was converted to condominiums. The brick and stone facade remain unchanged. The marble and glass entry is also an exquisite time piece. Much of the marble was imported from Milan, Italy. Marble staircases are still in use between floors. There is a gorgeous common roof terrace with mature flowering and edible plants, seating and lounging areas. This tenth floor unit is in the rear of the building, and has excellent sunlight. The original warehouse style bay windows are an historic part of this unit.

Great experience overall. Nice flat (looks just like the pics) and very considerate and easy to reach hosts.

It was very good located apartment.... And that is it of good things. However there was $100 cleaning fee included, the flat wasn't clean enough.
great place. clean and appears exactly as it does in the posting.
Can't say enough nice things about my experience! The apartment was great in every way - very nicely decorated, clean, well outfitted with everything you might need, airy and light, and in a really nice building! It's also amazingly situated, with almost every downtown area worth visiting within a couple blocks and with more gyms and zipcars nearby than you would even know what to do with. The host was also really great, friendly and super easy to deal with. All around 5 stars!
The flat is very pretty, comfortable and situated in a very nice, calm area. Unfortunately the owner was very rude which made the whole reservation and communication process unpleasant. When I inquired in advance about the iron in the flat (I visited SF for professional reasons) I was told that there would be one. Unfortunately, when I arrived there was no iron and the owner told me to buy one although it was supposed to be there?!
