Location, location, location. And it's a nice flat.
Offering my pad in Manchester's city centre Northern Quarter. Ten mins walk from Piccadilly Train and Bus Stations, five mins walk from Victoria Train Station, 2 mins from Shudehill tram stop with cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and galleries on your doorstep. The flat is right in the centre of town, in the heart of Manchester's cultural artistic quarter.
The room is cosy but not small and boats a double-bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, a desk and chair and 2 wardrobes. You also have your own bathroom with a real bath and an amazing shower - also fabulous towels and bathroom products.
I have a great, well-stocked kitchen with Le Creuset pans and a spice rack to die for and good local restaurant knowledge if you prefer to eat out. Breakfast-wise, help yourself to great bread (made by moi), fresh fruit (you can juice this if you fancy), granola / yoghurt (not made by me) and frequently foul medames (for those who love Lebanese food). Oh and great coffee and tea.
My lounge is comfy with good books and bad dvds.Help yourself.
I'm gay-friendly (think all of Manchester is) and the flat is wheelchair friendly (broke my leg last year and was grateful of this).
Despite being VERY central the flat is a new-build so it's quiet. It's also clean and has super broadband. And help yourself to the ironing board!
Excellent location, only 2 min walk to Shudehill Bus terminal and 5 minutes to Manchester Arena. Only stayed for 1 night but Sarah was a very lively and informative host. She met us when we arrived and gave us a handy map marked with her address. We didn't need to use public transport because we loved the Northern Quarter and were only there for a short time but it was very close to tram lines and busses. Bed was very comfy, shower was wonderful! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Sarah is energetic, kind and generous. She seems to have travelled everywhere! Her cozy apartment is perfectly located for exploring Manchester on foot. Highly recommended!
Sarah is a wonderful host! When Amy and I arrived, Sarah offered to make us coffee and tea. As we settled into Sarah’s lovely apartment, the first thing she said was, “be sure to use the flat, not just the room.” We did, and we enjoyed our stay with Sarah immensely. The flat is comfortable and quiet, and our bedroom and private bath were great. Sarah provided fresh-baked bread, coffee, tea, eggs, cereal and milk, and told us to use whatever else we needed. Sarah had a Manchester map ready for us and suggestions about things we might like to see or do while in the City. The Northern Quarter neighborhood is both vibrant and safe. Interesting and diverse restaurants, bars, and cafes are abundant. Museums and the largest mall in the UK were very close. We were able to walk easily everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely recommend Sarah’s place for a stay in Manchester, and we would stay again with her anytime we were in the City.
Fantastic host, considerate and very helpful. The location and the flat are second to none, perfectly located in heart of Manchester's night life and with an extra comfy bed to return to, what more do you want?
We visited Manchester for a week at the end of January. The city is absolutely gorgeous, lively. Even the weather was fairly good at that time of the year, only two rainy days out of seven.
We stayed in Sarah's flat in Northern quarter which is the heart of the city. The flat is in the best location all the good resaurants, bars, markets and shopping malls are within five to ten minutes walk. The one we loved was the fish market at the end of the street in Arndale and the Mexican restaurant just across the street called Lust, Luck, Liquer and Burn. Great food there!
Sarah is absolutely helpful, friendly, easygoing and a great guide to the city. We could use everything in the apartment as if they were our own. Althuogh you are renting a room you have your own big sized bathroom as well.
So all together we had a great experience and we definately wanna go back for another visit.
I had an excellent stay with Sarah! I rented her room for a week whilst searching for a permanent flat in the city centre. The location is excellent, mere steps to everything you need. And although it's in a buzzy area, the flat itself is quiet. The room is great and I had independent use of the guest bathroom.
Things that impressed me the most:
:: easy and quick communication with Sarah. I was pretty desperate for somewhere to stay and her replies were fast and informative.
:: the welcoming environment. It felt as easy as if I actually lived there.
:: when I couldn't for the life of me figure out the hot water heater, Sarah's parents talked me through it over the phone and offered to come and take a look. -- I found out later that they live 40 mins away!! I was happy I figured it out on my own, but was blown away by their kindness.
Sarah is a lovely host and a genuinely kind person! I highly recommend her and her flat. Thanks, Sarah!
Great location and host, very friendly and great bread! We were made to treat the place like home, very welcomed.
Sarah was an excellent host. The fresh baked bread was worth the price alone!
Second stay and it felt like going home, even met the parents! Sarah is fun and calming to be around and generous with her time and advice, finally found out what brisket is as well as a great restaurant around the corner. Thank you, T x
Sarah is my first host of Airbnb, fabulous woman! Energetic, lovely, interesting, and intelligent.
Her room is clean and pretty. Especially the bathroom is awesome. There are many kinds of shampoo and soap! And also she prepares body milk & cream. How kind to us! I strongly recommend her room to you;especially woman.
We talked a lot though my English was not good. I could have a very good time with her. Any hotels never give us such an experience. Thank you Sarah, see you again! And come to Japan someday;)
