Location, location, location. And it's a nice flat.
Offering my pad in Manchester's city centre Northern Quarter. Ten mins walk from Piccadilly Train and Bus Stations, five mins walk from Victoria Train Station, 2 mins from Shudehill tram stop with cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and galleries on your doorstep. The flat is right in the centre of town, in the heart of Manchester's cultural artistic quarter.
The room is cosy but not small and boats a double-bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, a desk and chair and 2 wardrobes. You also have your own bathroom with a real bath and an amazing shower - also fabulous towels and bathroom products.
I have a great, well-stocked kitchen with Le Creuset pans and a spice rack to die for and good local restaurant knowledge if you prefer to eat out. Breakfast-wise, help yourself to great bread (made by moi), fresh fruit (you can juice this if you fancy), granola / yoghurt (not made by me) and frequently foul medames (for those who love Lebanese food). Oh and great coffee and tea.
My lounge is comfy with good books and bad dvds.Help yourself.
I'm gay-friendly (think all of Manchester is) and the flat is wheelchair friendly (broke my leg last year and was grateful of this).
Despite being VERY central the flat is a new-build so it's quiet. It's also clean and has super broadband. And help yourself to the ironing board!
Sarah was a thoughtful and interesting host who always made me feel at ease and welcome in her home; very easy to talk to. Located in thie Northern Quarter of Manchester, Sarah's home is a short walk to lots of great bars, restaurants and cultural attractions, and at a great price too!
Nice apartment (email hidden)ly area. Sarah was very accommodating.
I really enjoyed my stay at Sarah's place. I felt immediately home. Her house is nice reflection of Sarah's kind generosity and care. She knows how to introduce you to great music, museums, bars, food and culture. I had the opportunity to meet her parents and boyfriend for drinks and dinner. I definitely recommend this place!
Although we didn't have the pleasure of seeing her, Sarah still made us feel right at home. The place is really in the middle of everything and was a really convenient base for walking around the city centre. Didn't have a chance to use any facilities in the place, besides the bathroom but it was all nice, clean and homely!
Great stay. Lovely comfortable bed. Fantastic freshly baked bread in the morning and awesome coffee. Perfect location for Manchester city centre.
Staying with Sarah was a very pleasant experience. She provided lots of information about Manchester and the Northern quarter, had excellent tips for dining and was a very lovely host. Also the Northern Quarter, where Sarah lives, (email hidden)ly and creative part of the city and it's not far from the station. Plus: breakfast and tea were especially nice!
Sarah is lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. She's a really keen that her guests feel relaxed and at home; we found this to be very true. We also had the opportunity to have some really interesting chats and hang out a bit. The location of the flat is fab and feels really safe, so no worries if you want to be out and about late at night. Definitely recommend staying!
Excellent location, only 2 min walk to Shudehill Bus terminal and 5 minutes to Manchester Arena. Only stayed for 1 night but Sarah was a very lively and informative host. She met us when we arrived and gave us a handy map marked with her address. We didn't need to use public transport because we loved the Northern Quarter and were only there for a short time but it was very close to tram lines and busses. Bed was very comfy, shower was wonderful! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Sarah is energetic, kind and generous. She seems to have travelled everywhere! Her cozy apartment is perfectly located for exploring Manchester on foot. Highly recommended!
Sarah is truly one of a kind - my boyfriend and I would consider moving to Manchester if only in the hopes of scoring her as a flatmate.
From the moment we arrived (after our taxi driver left us stranded and lost), Sarah was the consummate host, providing us with wine to soothe our travel-weary heads and chatting with us well into the night. She is an interesting, intelligent woman who made us feel completely at home, and had plenty of tips for getting the best out of our few days in Manchester.
The flat itself is a good size for a solo traveler or couple, and the location is ideal for exploring the best spots Manchester has to offer - the surrounding streets are filled with hip bars and cute cafes.
We enjoyed our stay with Sarah immensely, and recommend that anyone visiting Manchester consider staying with her.
