The district of Friedrichshain is one of the youngest, most creative and exciting areas of Berlin. Nowhere else can you find so many options everyday for eating, drinking, shopping and dancing. Its attractions include the East Side Gallery, the Oberbaumbrücke, the Anhalt Station, the charming Boxhagener Platz (right where the apartment is located) and the popular Simon-Dach straße, with its numerous bars and cafes. Friedrichshain is a really trendy area, dotted with many small, cute and green alleys. If you want to relax during the day in parks, meet nice people and throw yourself into Berlin nightlife, then it is the perfect district for your stay. Friedrichshain is located very centrally, in a short time you can reach Berlin’s major hotspots by public transportation, car or bicycle.
Just few rules:
1) Respect the neighbors. Since you are living in a building with normal flats and people who are permanently living here you must respect the neighbors. You are NOT ALLOWED to listen loud music/tv or to do party inside the flat. Especially before 8 am and after 9pm you must avoid any noise that can be disturb other people.
2) Use of Internet. You are not allowed to download any program or file that is not legal. Police's german downloading rules are quite strictly and if something illegal has been downloaded, they can catch you and let pay fees (around 2000 €).
3) Smoking in the flat is not allowed.

We did not, and all complaints still valid. Good points valid.
Needs good clean . Lights in bathroom, jug, not working.
Laundry for next guest left to dry in our bedroom for week.
Good sized 1 bedroom unit in good location.
Do not be confused by pictures with same bedroom photographed with different curtans, bedspread and angle.
Communication with Mario TERRIBLE.
Very nice location if you like cool district with bar and restaurant, at the same time the flat is very quiet. There is an inner courtyard where you can park your bike.
The flat was similar as the description.
Two negative points : it was not very clean and there are no curtains in the living-room/second bedroom.
Mario contact me with enough time to prepare the trip and was easy to reach.
This flat has some nice advantages but also some disappointments. Well first of all, you will not find a better situation in Berlin, at least if you are looking for a convenient nice trendy fun area to eat well, go out and enjoy Berlin east side. As regards the flat it is very calm and luminous. It is also kind of empty which is nice because thus you do not feel you are at someone's place. You can park your bike safely in the inner courtyard of the building. It also has some facilities in the kitchen if you want to eat there (even if I did not use it it could be helping). As regards the disappointment, first Mario was not easy to join and we only heard from him less then 2 days before arriving which was a bit stressful. After that I have to say he made it easy for us as regards our time arrival and departure and he was flexible for that. The biggest complain I have to make was regarding the property and the state of the flat. People who are very strict about property should know that the flat is not very clean (dust on the furnitures mainly, and it was a bit smelly when we arrived). The wall are also not clean and in general you can see that nobody really takes care of the place. We also noticed some dysfunction (tv not working and shower head leaking, mattress too large for the bed and generally damaged furnitures). Overall we had a nice stay but as I like clean apartment i have to say that this one was simply not.
The place was clean and nice. The host was quick to respond and clear with his communication. The location was absolutely perfect. 5 Stars!
