At the bottom of Queen Anne's sought after West slope; is my charming Uptown apartment. The building was originally built in 1898, has been has been updated with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave and small oven and stove, full size refrigerator and freezer as well as a washer/dryer unit.
This apartment is located on the second floor, there are 23 steps to the second floor, and has a South facing front door and is bright with a lovely cross breeze when with open windows.
There is wireless internet, flat screen t.v and a Bluetooth radio in the Living room.
In the bedroom you will find a Queen sized bed, I-phone docking clock radio, two side tables with drawers, long closet with luggage rack and hanging organizer.
We have limited parking, for compact cars only. Please check availability with me when you are booking. Parking, when available, is $5 per day.
We are just one and half blocks to Key area, The Seattle Center. We're a perfect location for the Storm Games and The Key's concerts, Pacific NW Ballet and the Seattle Opera at McCaw Hall. And an easy walk to SAM Olympic Sculpture Park and many unique shops and restaurants. Just a 5 minute bus rid to the Pike Place Market and Down Town and five more minutes to the SODO neighborhood and the Mariner's Baseball , Sounders Soccer and Seahawk's football games as well as historic Pioneer Square and the Seattle Waterfront. We are right on several bus lines and just a short walk to the monorail West Lake Mall and a quick ride connecting to the new light rail to SeaTac airport.
Because this apartment is in the city and is so close to the Seattle Center, you will naturally hear some street noise. I have lived here for almost ten years and I have renters that have lived in the building for many years so the city sounds hasn't made much of an impact however if you are sensitive to noise you may wish to look for a listing further out of the downtown area. I live in the same building. I usually greet guests as they arrive at 4:00 pm to check in however with the keyless entry and if you have a late arrival you may not see me. I am always available by phone or text if you need anything.
We are located in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood also known as the Uptown neighborhood. This is a vibrant neighborhood with the Seattle Center and lots of access to live theater, playhouses, dance, opera, the Seattle International Film Festival, Teatro Zanzanni (a marvelous restaurant and cabaret), and there is Bumbershoot and Folk Live festivals. There are many restaurants, coffee shops, lounges, stores and lots of entertainment, this is a busy neighborhood. On the top of Queen Anne hill you will find a charming few blocks of restaurants and stores on Queen Anne Avenue the rest of the hill is mostly residential homes and apartments. One of the best views of Seattle is from Kerry Park on Highland Drive heading up the hill on Queen Anne Avenue. The lower part of Queen Anne is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. One of the best parts about living in this neighborhood is how easy it is to walk to just about anything you are interested in or if you don't feel like walking, there are lots of busses.
It is easy to walk to most places you will want to visit, however if you wish to save your energy you can catch a bus on Queen Anne Avenue heading to downtown and get there in under 10 minutes. If you wish to head to upper Queen Anne you will need to catch the bus on 1st Avenue North.

- I will need you to fill out a parking permit and hang the top half in your car to avoid accidentally being towed. The bottom half will need to be put with your payment and place, both the money and the parking stub, in the envelopes provided and place in the back of the handbook in the empty sleeve.
Please observe quiet hours from 10 pm until 8 am.

* If you are renting this apartment for someone other than yourself, I will need to have detailed information about who will be staying in my apartment and I will need to check their id when they check in. In this situation, I will need to have a firm check in time when to expect them. I will also need to have contact information for the person/s that will be staying such as cell phone and email.
I'm a busy mom of three, two are teens now. When I'm not keeping up with the kids and my husband I'm usually busy as a property manager for 20 units. My newest passion is Ingress, my son got started playing it first and then my husband started playing with him. I started playing just for an excuse to walk around with, but I got hooked but time playing it now. I love the mountains and hiking with the family as well as visiting our many wonderful parks and beaches. I also love to travel over seas, some of the places I've visited are Europe, Morocco, Singapore, Mexico and Taiwan. I enjoy cooking Chinese food for my family and friends and love to entertain. My hobbies include meditation, kung -fu, and metaphysical studies. I use to be a ballroom dance instructor and still love going out dancing although admittedly I don't get out as often as I would like. I also enjoy drawing and painting and playing the flute with my kids as they play their instruments.
I really want to present a clean and comfortable living space for people to come and stay and get to know the city. My goal was to not clutter the apartment with too many personal items so that you have plenty of space to spread out and make the space your own. I hope you decide to stay with us.
