Laundry available to be done for you on premises for a small fee, but is not for our guest's use, sorry. If you prefer to do laundry yourself, there is a laundromat only a few steps away from the house.
The easiest way to the house is by car service, which you can secure immediately as you depart the airport terminal.
Also, note, any guests who do not check out promptly by 11a will be charged a $20 late fee for every hour they are late. Unfortunately, we need to implement this now as many people are not honoring the check-out times and our time that we need to get the room and house ready for the next guests. We ask that everyone please be mindful of the check out times so we can be considerate of the next guests. We would be happy to hold luggage for you if your flight takes off later on in the day, but we absolutely need to have the room vacant by 11a. Thanks!
My wife and I arrived late at night and Alissa left the key for us so that we could come and go as we please. We found a parking spot right outside and from then on we were able to walk to the ferry in about 20 minutes. It takes about 45-60 minutes to get from the apartment to get to Times Square, so just make sure you know the schedule when you leave and plan accordingly. The apartment was exactly what we needed, a place to sleep and rest after long days of walking. It was nice to have internet and have Netflix hooked up on a tv. If you are taller than 5'10" you might have some issues with the roof (I'm 6'3" and I bumped my head multiple times).
If you are planning on traveling with a large party, this apartment is perfect. Sleeps six people in the apartment, the main bed is a little lumpy and hard, but because we were so tired from traveling all day it was totally fine.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely look it up again to see if it was available if we return to NYC.
The apartment was clean and a great location. Alissa responded quickly to all of my questions, including the night before our arrival date and even the first night of our stay. It was just as described, a quick walk to the ferry- I don't even think it took us 20 minutes. The ferry ride itself was wonderful and provided a scenic and relaxing start and end to each day in NYC. It was a very private apartment with a separate entrance. It really felt like our own space. I would definitely stay here again.
It was what we needed but nothing fancy. I would not recommend it for anyone who can't take many stairs as there are very steep ones leading up to the house.
Alissa was kind but response rate was not very quick.
The apartments ceilings were incredibly low anyone 6 feet and over would be very uncomfortable. I am 5'9" and I was struggling at times.
And finding parking was very difficult. But it's a beautiful old house and it gave us a place to rest our heads at night.
Sie ist sehr Organisiert und hilft bereit wenn du fragen hast. Es ist sehr nähe zum ferry. Wir sind zufrieden.
Although I did not meet Alissa directly, she was exceptionally quick to respond to my questions both before and during my stay.
The basement apartment was as described, 10-15 min walk to the ferry which, in turn, takes 25 mins to reach Manhattan (free of charge) but offers exceptional views along the way.
Apartment has low ceilings and is very basic but was clean and bathroom in full working order with soft towels provided.
Noise from Upstairs tenants carries straight down, unfortunately, and although did not feel unsafe at any point, neighbourhood is in need of regeneration.
It was really clean and it was near the ferry. The description was exactly what it was. Its an old house so the floor above were squeaking. We were six girls and enjoyed the place. I RECOMMAND that place!!!! also, I've been several time to new york city and stayed at different places, to get to manhatan with the ferry is REALLLLLY AWESOME!!!!!
