2 bedroom 1.5 bath home for rent with approximately 1200 sq. ft.
Comfortable living room with granite fireplace and master bedroom with California king size Duxiana bed both have expansive views of the San Francisco Bay and Angel Island, etc.
Walking distance to numerous great shops and restaurants in the world class destination town of Sausalito. It's a gorgeous place with a prime view/location. Northern Sausalito (the "banana belt") doesn't get the summer fog that is common on the south end of town.
Master bath is upgraded with marble tile, a comfortable tub/shower, granite counter and 2 sinks. There is a washer and dryer as well.
Second bedroom has a queen size memory foam bed with smaller Bay view, along with a large-flat screen TV with cable (email hidden) player.
Kitchen is fully equipped including microwave and a coffee maker.
Home is decorated in a modern Asian theme, and is very comfortable and located in a safe, quiet and convenient location at the bottom of a long driveway and away from the road. Living room has a stereo with a CD changer.
Also there is a bicycle available for use and the home is minutes away from downtown San Francisco and many other attractions such as beaches and amazing hiking trails on Mt. Tam etc.
There is space for at least two+ more folks if they want to sleep on a bed pad or the couch, etc. There is parking for 2 cars directly in front of the home as well.
Convenient access to SF and Marin etc. via buses and the ferry (Golden Gate Transit).
There is a working phone and fax.
Renter must be 18 or over. Pets considered on a case-by-case basis.
This is a private home NOT a party rental, I like my neighbors!
CHILDREN ages 1 through 6
Sorry our place is not child-proofed in any way.
Decks and stairs may have uneven surfaces so please use caution when coming and going and use a flashlight at night.
Peter has been a very weolcoming and attentive host. House has an excellent view and is located in a very nice neighborhood, climate and in a grove. We had small issues with lighting and electricity due to oldness of the house circuitry, however Peter has been very prompt to help us resolve the problems. House has been really clean and comfortable for us. The only missing item we were in real need has been the kettle. In addition, a microwave would be a real plus..
Outstanding place to stay. Exactly what we wanted. Killer views, comfortable, and roomy.
We adored this charming little hillside home! Like all the other reviews mentioned, the views are truly gorgeous and exceeded our expectations. We found the house to be stylishly decorated and well stocked. The location is fantastic. The main drag of Sausalito is short and scenic stroll down the hillside to the water. Highly recommended for anyone who desires a relaxing weekend away.
The view, the view, the view! The pictures are true to reality if not better. Place clean and nicely decorated. Friendly people around the area, I would totally come back.
We loved staying at Peter's beautiful home! The view is absolutely stunning — these photos don't do it justice — and his phone was clean, comfortable and welcoming. There's plenty of room for 4 people to stay comfortably. We loved how easy it was to walk down the cute set of stairs in the hillside and walk along the water. We spent an entire afternoon at Bar Bocce, and it was great to just be able to walk home afterwards in 10 minutes. Thanks for a wonderful weekend away Peter!
Great views / good location for SF Bay area / But: BEWARE TO READ ALL GUEST COMMENTS ! We booked because of the views and some good reviews. Only after making the booking I read some critical comments. I thought the issues mentioned before would have been dealt with. Unfortunately this was not the case. The apartment is dated in each way. No water boiler in the kitchen. Used a big pan to boil water. A tea person does not want tea from a coffee maker. No kitchen cloth anywhere to find; used paper towels. As in earlier comments: pots / pans are still crappy / scratched. The kitchen in general does not invite for cooking. When plugging in a hair dryer, electricity falls out. Peter explained about old wiring and how to restore in the fuse box. Peter, the owner, did not take the initiative to check if we got power back on again. ( guess he assumed all was fine ) A storm caused a general power cut from mid-evening to mid-afternoon next day. Emailed Peter from some cafe where power / internet worked to hear : "contact the utility company". Imagine: coming from Europe where power cuts may happen no longer than 1 hour, travel half the globe, 9 hours time difference and then to hear to contact utility company instead of the owner taking the courtesy to do this for you. Peter did call the utility company another day later though to assess power was back again. During these days Peter told us he could not contact us by phone or text because he was "abroad". When Peter visited during our stay to collect some personal items, I made him aware of the plastic blinds in bedroom that did not shut. Reaction: 'it worked perfect before'. Internet did not work for a while, went back on next morning. ( Peter was kind enough to check this ) I took initiative to tell Peter a doorknob from a closet came off or was off half way. We looked at it and thought it could be easily dealt with. After we left Peter sent a message "what did you do to the doorknob ?" ( as if we were hooligans) To shower, one needs to pull out a pin. Went off each time, needed to screw back each time. It did not work anymore after some time. My travel companion got a trick to get shower working. After our stay Peter sent message : " did you throw away all condiments ? "Funny question: we found no condiments at all in this dated kitchen except for a pepper mill with 3 grains in it. Taking full cost of around $ 1,750 for 6 nights / 2 persons / in account, this is overpriced. Guess when stay with 4 or more and being mostly outdoor all time it may be fine to stay. After all: good location for exploring Bay Area, great views, quiet area.
We enjoyed our stay. Lovely home with well laid out rooms. Of course, the stunning view. Easy walk down the hill to restaurants and shopping. Parking handy.
Enjoying watching the sun rise
