Clean, bright, cozy room in a beautiful, funky, artistic apartment. Clean linen, bedding, and towels are included.
The bedroom has a lot of storage, with a large closet, 6-drawer dresser, and bookcase to house your belongings. The apartment has a comfy couch, a large TV, and high-speed wireless internet. You are welcome to take advantage of the fully stocked and supplied kitchen, with fridge, stove, microwave, and toaster.
The real selling point of this apartment is the neighborhood. 10 minutes from Manhattan, you feel like you’re in a different city. Located at the intersection of Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Heights and Carroll Gardens, you are steps away from an endless supply of great food, fantastic shopping, and amazing people. Smith St. is known for its restaurants, and it does not disappoint. Also within walking distance are BAM, DUMBO, Red Hook (amazing views of the Statue of Liberty), the Promenade, and (last but definitely not least) the Brooklyn Bridge. This area is known for attracting celebrity residents, and you will quickly understand why.
The F and G trains are less than 5 minutes away (Bergen Street station), and the 2/3/4/5/N/R trains are a couple of blocks further at the Court St/Borough Hall station. Manhattan is as few as three stops and 10 minutes away. Cabs are also readily available at all hours. If you have a car there is a good amount of on street parking in the area, and several parking lots are close-by. JFK Airport is just over an hour away by AirTrain and Subway.
A few more notes on the apartment:
- No Smoking

Cy is a very nice person, very helpfully and cool. She gave us a lot of tips. It was nice to stay at her apartment.
The neighborhood is cool and has everything you need for feeling comfortable.
I would book it again anytime.
Staying with CY was a great (website hidden) is a very friendly host and most helpful. The apartment is cosy, clean and it really did feel like a home away from home. The neighbourhood is fantastic with its little bars and restaurants and shops and also very well connected by different subway lines in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!
Cy was a kind and gracious host. I stayed here for a month after moving to NY from DC, trying to learn the area and find a permanent (website hidden) had great advice and tips and how to manage, fun things to do, etc. And the apt/neighborhood is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Cy is easy to get on with. The friendly host and the comfortable bed, I really have a good time in this apartment.
Cy is really friendly and easy going. Place is quite clean and comfort.
Cy is a wonderfull host and very easy to communicate with. Her flat in Brooklyn is cozy and very (website hidden) is a graphic designer by profession which clearly shows in the awesome decoration of the living room. I highly recommend the place.
I had a very good stay for 3 weeks in October. The location was perfect for a short commute to downtown manhatten (less than 20m by subway). The room is right between smith st, court st and atlantic avenue. So lots of things right around the corner (gym, food, bars, trader joes, etc.). The room and apartment condition is solid - typical NY style. I would certainly stay again - thanks to Cy for the great time I had!
Highly recommended. Perfect location. Apartment is typical NY old school - nice laminate on the floor, well maintained and superb decoration in the (website hidden) is a perfect room-mate - sympathetic understanding and always willing to help - now turned into a friend! So next time you go to NY - 1. enjoy living like a New Yorker in a typical NY apartment - 2. enjoy the company of a nice lady, always willing to help (arranged a cab for me etc.) 3. save money... You d be crazy to spend more money in a tasteless hotel! Definitely worth the experience.
Cy seemed like an amazing person, unfortunately we were both very busy this week and didn't get a chance to hang out. The location couldn't have been better. Smith st. and Atlantic Ave are right there, and most trains are within a ten minute walk. The bed was clean and comfy, and I could tell that Cy took great care to make sure that the place was clean and tidy.
My first night at Cy's place was also my first night in NY and I felt at home the moment I entered the appartment. Plus the neighborhood is lovely and trendy, 5 minutes away by walk to the train to Manhattan, 10 minutes to Bklyn promenade, and 15min to Dumbo.
I would recommend Cy's place to anyone !
