I had a lovely stay at the Queen Suite. It's a nice little appartment with bedroom (slept very well), bathroom and living room with a kind of kitchen area (to cook some simple meals), there was everything I needed.
I appreciated the pool and whirlpool area which is about 10 minutes by foot.
If you want to have a relaxed and quiet stay in Poipu and don't want to pay for hotels I can recommend this accomodation.
Geraldine was a great guest from Luxembourg. So glad to see she appreciated the kitchen area as a separate room from the bedroom. We have suites not studios like The previous guest seemed to want. Also our guests seem to appreciate the front door being unlocked as having to go through one locked door, their suite, seems to be enough like it is for other rental units, hotels and condo buildings.
There are many kinds of insects in tropical areas and we spray as often as we dare to keep them under control. Happy to know Geraldine didn't have to experience any during her visit
Cam wasnt in the area to check us in, but there were detailed instructions left on the door when he arrived. The space is a little odd, as the front door was always left unlocked, and the doors to the different rooms he listed had their own locks. The layout to our space wasnt what I expected either, as the living room/kitchenette area was completely detached from the bedroom. And the backyard looked like it needed some attention as well. The room was definitely dated, but I didnt expect a 4-star hotel at the price. We werent bothered too much b/c we didnt stay in our room any way. The location was great, not too far from the shopping center or beaches. My bf DID have to swat 2 cockroaches, which I was also forewarned in the reviews section. Satisfied with our stay
Nice and cozy, great for two people. Although it was a "shared" environment, we felt like we were there alone which was nice! Washer & dryer were so convenient after long beach days, Poipu was only about a 5 minute walk and was absolutely breathe taking! Shopping and dining were only a couple of minutes away by driving-- all around a great location! Also, Chica the cat was the highlight of our stay :)
The Queen Suite was exactly as described! A perfect space for me and my friend who were staying in Poipu for 5 nights. We were in town for a wedding at the Grand Hyatt and the location of this property could not have been better for us! It was an easy 5-10 minute walk on a path that leads directly to the hotel.
Check in was a breeze...Cam provides a very explanatory welcome packet (as well as a yummy welcome treat!) The space was clean and well-kept, only a few cockroach sightings but we were told that is to be expected. There is no AC, which is probably typical, but it made for some very hot days in July. The fans helped slightly, mostly at night which was much more comfortable than midday.
We made friends with Chica the cat who likes to visit the guests in the Queen Suite. She is very sweet and cuddly!
My one complaint would be that noise from upstairs and nextdoor neighbors was easily heard from the suite's bedroom. I wouldn't say anyone was disrepectfully loud, but unfortunately all sounds traveled very clearly (footsteps, dishes clinking, voices, etc.), and there was at least one very early riser living upstairs.
Overall, great experiences and I would stay here again.
first of all, cam made us feel welcome right away, with beautiful little flowers, local bananas, and chocolates. the apartment is very clean, and has everything you need. you can walk to the beach. restaurants and shopping are near by.
The Queen Suite was such a delight! The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. We loved the little deck off of the kitchen area. Cameron was a wonderful host who was always easy to get ahold of. He even left some delicious Hawaiian chocolates for us to enjoy during our visit. We wished we had been able to stay longer! Mahalo!
Cam was a great host! Like many previous people mentioned he left a box of chocolates on my first night there. He is very friendly and easy to find when you need him.
