The Space

This charming, newly renovated 1200 sq ft 2 bedroom apartment sits at the top of Echo Park in a valley in Elysian Heights.

There is a fully stocked kitchen with ample space, an elevated and spacious living room, a breakfast bar, and a dining area. The 400sq ft deck is ideal for enjoying the morning sun or an evening BBQ. I think we've eaten 2/3 of our meals on the deck since moving in.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and stays cool and quiet. We use the guest bedroom as an office and music room. It has a pull-out bed, but I recommend sleeping on the couch itself.

Staying in Echo Park can be both relaxing and exciting. The apartment is located on a residential block and is well suited for peace and quiet. However, Echo Park is a very vibrant, artistic neighborhood. You can head down Echo Park Ave toward Sunset and find restaurants, shops, galleries, and live music when you're up for it. The neighborhood is vibrant by day, quiet at night, and walkable despite the hills.

Our home is a short walk from the FIX cafe, running and hiking trails in Elysian Park, and a bike ride or 5 minute drive to shops and restaurants near Echo Park and Sunset. Downtown LA is only 5 minutes from there.

Wifi and utilities are included, and you are welcome to pick some greens and strawberries from the garden. We don't have a parking spot or garage but there is always street parking. For sleeping, we have one king sized bed in the bedroom, a couch in the living room, and a couch in the office.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the master bedroom, the guest room / office / studio, the kitchen, living room, deck, and side yard.

Interaction with Guests

We're usually now around when we have guests, but you may interact with our upstairs neighbors or my brother. They're all really great people who are a pleasure to be around.

The Neighborhood

It's beautiful, secluded, but it has a lot of energy and the greater neighborhood is really vibrant. The people really make the neighborhood.

Getting Around

There is a DASH bus that runs up and down Echo Park Ave but you have to walk 2 blocks to the first stop. I usually bike or walk around Echo Park.
