Elizabeth was quick to respond & helpful.
First the positive, the neighborhood and location to South Congress was perfect. We never had trouble finding parking on the street nearby. And, the bed was SO comfortable! However, we were disappointed with a few aspects. There was no prior communication follow-up about check-in and where to find the keys (we finally found them under the door mat). The yard was unkempt including a large blue tarp we had to navigate around to even get to the door. The furnishings were fine (nothing fancy) but different from what was shown in photos. The cable was not working as indicated, which the owner knew about but did not tell us prior to check-in. When calling about this, we found out the owner was out of town. I'm used to Airbnb owners being around and available if needed during my stay. Ultimately, we felt safe and fairly comfortable, so it was fine. But I doubt we will stay again.
Elizabeth's place was perfect! Amazing location, very clean and with a lot of privacy. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to any of our friends.
Everything was as stated. Found key easily. I felt safe in neighborhood. Very friendly people and lots of small affordable restaurants within walking distance.mattress was best ever. Clean cozy Parking is difficult during certain hours. Renters should read and obey parking signs very carefully.
This studio is the perfect little get away! We had a great time exploring the neighborhood, hanging out in the courtyard, and walking our dog to the nearby food trucks.
It is small for sure, but there were just two of us and we had plenty of room. If you can, bring your bike. It is the only way to explore Austin!
Nice location, close to South Congress. Simple accommodation but it was ok. You could cook your own food, the bed and linen was nice, the girl next door and her dogs were sweet and quiet.
I stayed at this Airbnb with my friend for 3 nights, and it was a fine amount of space for two people with a queen sized bed, small kitchen, bathroom, couch, TV, and table.
The location is hard to beat, with Bouldin Creek Café directly across the street, and other favorites such as Torchy's Tacos, Gourdoughs, and many other food trucks and sit-down restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk.
Street parking was super easy and while we did not meet Elizabeth, she made it very easy to get the key upon arrival and return it at the end of our stay.
Communication with the host was clear and effective.
The only downside is that the WiFi was out during our entire stay, which Elizabeth explained that the cable company was working to fix. Luckily we didn't have too much downtime, but it would have been nice to have during the late evenings or when we stopped at the house to rest.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it if you're looking for a good location in the neighborhood.
