Having grown up on a four star guest farm in the rural, mountainous Eastern Cape, I have been dealing with guests since I could walk. Hospitality, travel and tourism is what I live for. I enjoy hosting dinner parties at home, or organising wine tastings at boutique vineyards. My love of history combines with excursions and visits to museums and heritage sites. What's more fun than organizing a get-together, marinading the meats, making salads, getting the fire going, quaffing wine or sipping brandy, dancing and enjoying the company and celebrating friendships? There are many accommodation possibilities available, such as camping (which is great fun!), bed-and-breakfasts, basic backpackers and grand hotels, but what I've learnt with the self-catering market is that a weekend away or holiday in a leaky tent with your best friends around you is way better than being all alone in a posh Presidential Suite.
I never have guests, I have friends who come over!
