Shelly was very accommodating during our stay, even letting us keep our bags in her house until we had to leave for our flight. We were very happy with our stay there. Everything is at it appears on her profile and we were very comfortable during our stay. Definitely recommend Shelly's house as a place to stay If you visit Boston.
It was a nice place to stay. Very clean and convenient. Shelly made me feel welcome and offered many great suggestions for places to visit in the Cambridge/Boston area.
We used Shelly's place basically just to sleep and shower. It was perfect for our needs. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The bathroom and shower were also clean. The room had a fan that kept the temperature comfortable by the time we went to bed. We had to vacate by 11 am but Shelly was very accommodating to letting me leave my luggage at the house while I did the tourist thing in Cammbridge until my flight left. Bus transit was within two blocks of Massachusetts Ave. which made it very convenient to get to the train at Harvard Square.
Shelly was such a sweet host and took the time to chat with us and suggest things to do in the area. She was super accommodating, friendly, and really made us feel welcome. (Definitely take her up on her breakfast suggestions - she knows what she's talking about!)
Shelly was very nice and made us feel welcome right away. We arrived when the house was empty but communication made getting settled very simple. She had some recommendations for brunch and was definitely knowledgeable on the area. Would definitely recommend staying with Shelly and Mimi (dog) in the future.
My husband and I had an extremely positive experience staying in Shelly's house. The room and house were exactly as described; everything was very neat and clean, and Shelly is a warm and gracious host. We stayed 3 nights but were hardly there other than to sleep; I felt bad about not partaking of the generous breakfasts that Shelly offered, but my brother lives a block away and we had all our meals with his family. The location was perfect for us--an easy walk from the T, close to the linear park for running/walking, close to shops and restaurants. We highly recommend Shelly as a host, even if her current place (which is for sale) is not available much longer. She even gave us truffles and a souvenir Boston TJ's shopping bag when we left!
