Fantastic, Karin made us feel welcome and was very informative about the local area as well as Adelaide and surrounds. We will definitely look at staying here again on any further trips to Adelaide
What a beautiful place to stay! Everything was here that we needed and was so close to everything too! Very clean and exceptionally comfortable...We will most definitely be staying here again when we next return to Adelaide.
A beautiful setting in a lovely neighbourhood. Easily commutable to the city, or a reasonable walk. Very comfortable furnishings, and though the kitchen doesn't appear so well equipped in the pictures, it actually is. Every little detail has been thought of, even laundry powder, and I wanted for nothing. Exceptionally clean.
I will definitely stay here again when next in Adelaide, and have already recommended it to friends.
Thank you Karin.
We had a heavenly experience at the Adelaide Church. Karin was a wonderful host providing all the information and support required including meeting us on arrival to give a brief history and overview of the apartment. The accommodation was extremely comfortable with heaps of atmosphere - plenty of cooking equipment and supplies. Very clean and obviously well cared for and loved accommodation. The location was near (walking distance) to heaps of dining opportunities in a quiet street and enabled us easy access to tourist sites. Highly recommended.
Karin greeted us warmly when we arrived. Even though we were early and the apartment wasn't yet ready, she invited us to leave our bags and provided heaps of information about places to see and eat in the area. She seems to really enjoy being a host and it shows in all the thoughtful details around the apartment. The neighbourhood is charming, peaceful, and very convenient. The heater works really well, which was great because it was chilly while we were in town. We would recommend this listing to anyone visiting Adelaide - we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.
Karin was an amazing host. Her place is beautiful and she is very hospitable. We will definitely make a trip back here when we return to Adelaide. Would recommend it to anyone.
St Marks is affordable yet extravagant! Karin is nothing short of prepared, and the church apartment is quiet and luxurious and bursting with extra information about cafes, restaurants, transport and things to see that she has put together by hand. I won't spoil the surprises, but the little touches in every room tell me that Karin genuinely cares about each and every guest, and she ensures a pleasant stay. I'm not sure I've met a more generous and caring host. Really good spot, lovely accomodation, lovely people. I'll be back.
About the Host, Karin
I have travelled a great deal and am keen to make it easier and enjoyable for others. I love old houses, and when we discovered this historic church 20 years ago, it was hard to resist. I have worked in everything from bridal gown designer to social services. My partner now works as a university lecturer in film and television, but has in the past been a TV producer locally, as well as in the UK and NZ. We believe we are friendly, tolerant, and easy to get along with and used to mingling with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I am sure you will feel welcome.
