I am offering a bright, clean and private room with a simple closet and queen bed. You will have your own bathroom which is just down the hall. You are welcome to share the large open living/dining room as well as the kitchen. I spend a lot of time cooking/entertaining . If it works out, maybe we'd even get to share a meal.

I was in berkeley for 3 weeks for study. The house is 20 min by walking from the university, very easy to go, in alternative you can take the bus and in this way is very fast. The train (bart) station is 10 minute by walking from the house. The bedroom is comfortable and nice, double bed and table with chair where I studied. The bathroom is comfortable too. Very good the possibility to use the kitchen! The kitchen is high level! The hose is very available to help you if you need informations o other. It was a very good experience!
As a first time Airbnbr I was unsure of what to expect. David welcomed me into his home with the same warmth, attentiveness, and care as he would his friends and family -- I know because I was able to meet several of them. His home is indeed a sanctuary. The peaceful backyard, lined with fragrant jasmine, is home to three curious hens, a mischievous fig hungry squirrel, and a lovely vegetable, fruit, and herb garden. Oh, and dont miss an opportunity for an afternoon nap in the backyard hammock! David was more than happy to let me use his kitchen, (complete with a top-of-the-line gas range) which, for someone traveling with food allergies is a huge plus! I was able to cook a large meal the first night and reheat the leftovers throughout my stay. Be sure to ask David for suggestions for fun, scenic and delicious ways to spend your time in Berkeley, he wont disappoint! The neighborhood was nice, close proximity to the Bart, shopping districts, UC Berkeley campus, Whole Foods, and every fresh produce aficionado's dream come true, Berkeley Bowl. My stay with David has definitely been a memorable one and has set the bar high for all of my future hosts. Only great things to say about this genuine nice guy! Thanks David!
David is great! His space is located in a beautiful part of town just a short walk from Whole Foods and about a mile away from other neat restaurants on College Ave. The room and bath are both a good size and very comfortable. I was fortunate enough to share one of David’s home cooked meals -- delicious! You will not find a more accommodating host. Highly recommended.
Amazing week - great location - friendly host. Not far from Ashby BART station (walking distance) and Berkeley Bowl Market (famous grocery store), I had a great stay and David advised me for nice places to discover.
Nice room, comfortable bed, private bathroom and access to kitchen and garden - top. The place is quiet and David was a really welcoming host.
David is a wonderful person and a great host! He made me feel like home the minute I moved in to the room. I really enjoyed our occasional conversations too. He also threw a dinner party while I was there and invited me as well. I must say he is an amazing cook as well.
It was a real pleasure to stay in David's house ! The room is well-sized and well-furnished. The private bath is very appreciable. The kitchen is well-appointed and the garden is really pleasant. David is kind and helpful : he makes you feel at home ! He has many tips for good restaurants or groceries nearby, and he is nice and generous. He even loaned me a bike for the time of my stay ! I'd definitely stay there again. With David, you know what the word hospitality means.
The place was exactly as shown in the pictures and David was an amazing host! We had great talks! the place was also close to the metro which was really helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
