Kellie's house was exactly as described and a wonderful experience. We were looking for a house that was more secluded and quiet, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Kellie made us feel welcome and at home as soon as we got there, and we felt as though a good friend was letting us use their home.
The house is spacious, lovely, and tastefully furnished with antiques and period pieces that add to the experience. The kitchen is very well stocked and ready for cooking. She even left us some eggs, cheese, and bread for breakfast.
Downtown Mill Valley is a brisk, 15 minute walk and the neighborhood is full of funky houses and tall Redwoods. There are great restaurants, markets, and coffee shops. I highly recommend Kellie's house if you're looking for a secluded spot that is a short drive and walk to town, and we look forward to returning.
My husband and I had a great time at Kellie's place. It was a gorgeous house and Kellie was a wonderful host. We are absolutely satisfied.
All of the good things you read about Kellie and her Lovely Secluded Estate Retreat are true. Thoroughly enjoyed a 2-night stay in July.
The house: vintage, beautiful, eclectic decorations, secluded, deer!
The environs: Mill Valley is a charming community, 20-min. drive to Muir Woods and spectacular hiking in the redwoods.
The host: Kellie is fantastic! She met us on our arrival, toured the house, offered good local recommendations, and then left us alone. We texted her a couple of times for little things during our stay, and she was always responsive, patient and helpful.
Overall: Great place for a very, very happy anniversary!
Kellie's place was everything it was promised to be. She was so warm and welcoming and extremely helpful and generous. The property itself is idyllic and dreamlike. Eating meals in the spacious and beautiful dining room, gazing at redwoods and ambling deer, and lounging about in the tastefully decorated living room made this retreat the perfect place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the entire place was blissfully quiet.
Kellie was so amazing! She made my stay with my dad as good as it could have been. I was so sad to end my visit and leave---the apartment is truly a beautiful retreat. The scenery could not have been more stunning and tranquil. Her apartment is packed with incredibly unique items and decorations that leave you wanting to run home and redecorate! Everything was perfect and if she'll have me back, I can't think of a better place to have my family and close friends stay when they visit.
The location was amazing! So close to San Fran and Mill Valley was an amazing treat. House was clean and quite spacious! Loved the Decor.

About the Host, Kellie
We are so fortunate to live in such an amazingly beautiful area surrounded by nature. I enjoy regularly hiking the beautiful trails that surround our canyon here at the base of Mount Tamalpais, sharing the bounty of organic locally grown food with good friends, catching a great film, live music and taking off for a daytrip out to the wilds of Pt. Reyes. I work in managment with a national yoga company and produce shows with local artists and designers.
I treasure spending time with my 14 yr old son, always discovering new adventures around every corner.
