Kellie is welcoming and gracious. Her home is beautiful and the neighborhood quiet and peaceful. I loved the architecture of her home and the beauty of how she furnished it. Kellie made it easy to communicate with her and she made it clear that she was available if we needed her for anything. She shared her knowledge of the area and we were glad to have ideas of where to eat and how to better plan for our trip.
We were only there in the evenings as we were out and about most of the day, but I loved the kitchen and if we had chosen to use it for meals, it would have been a pleasure to. For all these reasons and others, I hope to return again.
Super house. Super location. Right in the middle of a redwood forest and super tranquil.
We stayed with our 2yo daughter and had a lovely time. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need. Bathroom is off the main bedroom, so suits a family or good friends. It really is a very lovely home, and absolutely massive too.
Kellie gave us lots of tips (inc. Muir Woods, Stinson Beach), and left us provisions for our first morning.
Thanks for super hosting
We can now confirm all the superlatives in the previous reviews that led us to reserve here. Beautiful, clean, cozy, private, beyond serene. Kellie made everything easy and we had a great stay. As a book lover I especially enjoyed exploring the large amount of volumes she keeps in this space. Small tip for breakfast lovers: We used the eggs she left us to make some amazing French toast with a Semifreddi's cinnamon twist purchased at Mill Valley market.
What a magical, beautiful place Kellie has! She was such a gracious host, leaving some breakfast foods and coffees for us to enjoy. The grounds are simply breathtaking, the house is full of warmth and love, and we were fortunate enough to see a deer right outside our door one morning. We enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood, absolutely LOVED Mill Valley, and highly recommend this home to anyone seeking see with and peace. Thank you Kellie!! We will hope to return some day.
Our stay at Kellie's place was amazing! Her house is absolutely beautiful. It has a very special magical feeling to it and the nature surrounding it is beautiful. It feels like a true getaway from the hustle and bustle and yet it is only a pleasant 15 min walk to downtown Mill Valley.
Kellie welcomed us in person and was great in recommending hikes and places to eat in Mill Valley. She also texted us on our second day to make sure everything was ok and to wish us a good time.
Our stay definitely made us want to go back to Mill Valley and stay at Kellie's again!
As advertised! Lovely home and host in beautiful Mill Valley. Walking distance to town, quick drive to Muir Woods and near to Muir Beach, gorgeous coastal drive, Point Reyes, etc. Will be recommending this location to our friends.
Kellie was a kind and helpful hostess who responded quickly to communications prior to our arrival and was readily available but otherwise unobtrusive during our visit. The apartment was attractively lit for our evening arrival and Kellie had thoughtfully left a few breakfast essentials to get our visit started.
This wonderful property was perfect for us for our 7-night stay. About a month prior to this visit we stayed three nights at a hotel chain in the area and did not want to repeat the experience for this longer trip. Most of the hotels in Marin are very close to the 101 in very noisy and busy business areas, which are not at all attractive for longer visits, especially if you plan to relax in the mornings or afternoons. I very highly recommend airbnb and particularly Kellie's home when visiting Marin Co.
As other reviewers have said, the photos can't capture the wonderful qualities of the light and air in this space. You really are nestled in the treetops and the three main rooms all face SW and look out into trees and sky - you have total privacy. Kellie's eclectic and personal décor matches the house and the setting and was very warm and inviting.
I was travelling with my teenage son, so we were comfortable with the bedrooms being connected, which is clearly explained in Kellie's description. The age of the house means solid walls, so neither of us was bothered by the other and we very rarely heard evidence of Kellie below or the tenant above, and when we did it was still very minor and not at all a disturbance. The home is on a steep hillside in Mill Valley, so the geography does mean that some neighborhood sounds can be heard during the day, but no more than in my typical suburban neighborhood. It's very quiet at night and I could sleep with the windows open, which was such a huge difference from the hotels along the 101.
Staying with Kellie gives you a taste of living in Mill Valley that you can't get at a hotel. If you're a walker, explore the streets around Kellie's home and you'll get glimpses of the bay through redwoods. Mill Valley has a system of public stairs that connect the streets, so you can walk down to town and back up again feeling like you've earned any decadent dessert you want!
Thanks again Kellie. Best wishes.

About the Host, Kellie
We are so fortunate to live in such an amazingly beautiful area surrounded by nature. I enjoy regularly hiking the beautiful trails that surround our canyon here at the base of Mount Tamalpais, sharing the bounty of organic locally grown food with good friends, catching a great film, live music and taking off for a daytrip out to the wilds of Pt. Reyes. I work in managment with a national yoga company and produce shows with local artists and designers.
I treasure spending time with my 14 yr old son, always discovering new adventures around every corner.
