Serene Oasis in Castro Heights

House - Private room · Castro St, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States

Enjoy an amazing room with access to a serene garden. Be close to the Castro, Noe Valley and the Mission. Enjoy a kind and welcoming host.

The Space

I am a gay man and I live with my two small dogs in a house in Castro Heights - just 5 blocks from the heart of the Castro or the heart of Noe Valley.

The house is a two-bedroom house with one full bathroom. There is a huge garage, a sunny deck and a beautiful garden.

The rental room has a queen size bed and comes with pillows, sheets, blankets and towels. There is an east-facing private deck that overlooks the fabulous garden where you can lounge with little or no clothes and absorb the warm San Francisco sun rays.

My preference is to offer guest accommodation on weekends (Fri and Sat) as on other days I get up fairly early (6 AM) to go to work. My typical workday ends at 5 PM. After work, I often head to one of Castro's wonderful restaurants for dinner. Sometimes, I catch a film at the neighborhood cinema, The Castro Theatre, a fine art deco building that featured in the film "MILK."

In some situations, I will consider offering guest accommodation Sunday to Thursday but you will, in all probability, need to be very respectful of my work schedule.

If you plan to use/rent a car, there is plenty of street parking or you may choose to park in the garage for $20 per day or part thereof. The local bus (MUNI #24) passes right in front of the house and public transportation is never a problem.

The Neighborhood

You will enjoy the privacy of a house with a beautiful deck and garden. You will be a short walk or bus ride (MUNI #24) from the heart of the Castro and the Noe Valley.

Getting around

The local bus (MUNI #24) stops right at the corner.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it was AMAZING!!! Nikolas responded quickly to any questions I had. My guest and I stayed in a good sized and clean room. The room was decorated nicely with some storage space for our things. The room was very well lit and the best part was it had its own private deck with amazing views of his well kept garden and of the city. Nikolas was very friendly and accommodating and his dogs were so CUTE! Nikolas's place was just awesome and We would stay there again time and time again.

  • Serena Oasis in Castro has been our first experience with airbnb and it's been great too, honestly. We arrived there as guest and left as friends. The house is always clean, and well located. Dogs are like little toys, more educated than many people we allready know.... The room is sunny, saucy and clean (fresh flowers even! that's not common at all), and very quiet, any noise disturb us. Just the birds from the garden. And, of course, Nikolas is a great person who nows how to make it works. Thank you Nikolas!

  • Nikolas was very quick to respond to all our questions prior to arrival. He provided an excellent list of attractions and restaurants to add to our itinerary. The room was well decorated and sunny, with large windows that open directly to a private porch! The location is perfect with quick access (down the hill) to the Castro and other nightlife spots. Nikolas provided an amazing first experience on airbnb. I would stay here again!

  • Our stay with Nikolas was great! He was a wonderful host and welcomed us into his home. He gave us great ideas of things to do and helped us with the local transportation. Although we spent most of the time out in the city, his place was a great place to come home to for sleep at night.

European (Greek) gay bear living my American dream with my two dogs in San Francisco's gayest neighborhood, the Castro! I enjoy traveling, meeting people and having a good time over good food, wine or coffee. I love art museums and parks as well as the ocean and the beach. I work hard and try to enjoy life to the fullest - my motto is 'there is no finish line - it's just a flat line - enjoy life while you have it!'
