The flat is good and cute in the safe part of the city. Welcomicg was great, and alejandro bought us a bottle of spanish wine also :) metro station is really close but walking to the center is also not so far.
Alejandro was really reachable and made himself available for any issue or questions I might had. The house is at a good location, a few minutes walk from the train station and a few stops from the city centre and the main railway station Atocha. It is well equipped including a washing machine. The only downside is that it is humid, having a leak on the ceiling through the bedroom's wall to the kitchen but Alejandro is taking care of that already.
Alejandro is a great host. He was super welcoming, and showed us around the apartment even though we arrived to Madrid late in the evening. The apartment is well organised and there's everything you need. It is a ground floor apartment that is partly in the cellar which apparently causes it to be somewhat humid (we had little itchy eyes every morning). Alejandro's place is only 5 min walk from the metro, so it is a good base for exploring Madrid!
I LOVED staying in Alejandro's place. I had stayed there for 6 months previously and so enjoyed it that I requested to stay again this year for another 6 months!
Alejandro was a great host, came under the rain to pick us up at the subway station and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and about the neighborhood. The apartment is not in downtown Madrid, but it's not far.
The place is nice and has all the coveniences needed . It is not too far from the center of Madrid and there are many supermarkets , pharmacies and restaurants nearby. There is also an actual market not too far. The metro is also not too far away on a very convenient line.
Alejandro is a very good host. He was very patient with us as a our flight actual arrived a day and a half late. He even came by one evening and showed us around the neighborhood and had a few beers with us!!!
Excellent host, nice cozy artsy place, and easily accessible location! There's everything you need in the house. The speedy WiFi was a big plus! The shower is awkward, but it gets the job done. :) We had no problem getting around Madrid from Puente Vallecas. There are shops and grocery stores within walking distance. The neighborhood seems safe, we had no problem getting home late. Alejandro was very easy-going and responded to emails quickly. Overall, great stay.
