Im a musician/producer living in williamsburg, and have an extra bedroom that i keep for friends and family, but am willing to rent it out to travelers. Im a block away from the Bedford L train. N. 6th st and Bedford, right byThe Surf Bar, if you want to see the exact location. Its in an older 2 family building. I recently renovated the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. I put in new furniture, and HDTV and cable box in the bedroom. Lots of natural light. 1 block from the L train, 5 minutes to Union Square. IMPORTANT: I keep the rental price on the lower side because i would prefer to have younger, laid back travelers here. Williamsburg is one of the coolest neighborhoods in NYC, but on weekends it can get real loud and jam packed, and I am on a very busy street!
Lots of amazing restaurants, bars, music, gallerys, shops, thift stores. Even a farmers market and tennis courts in Maccarren Park. I have WiFi, and will provide clean sheets and towels. I have a cleaning lady come once a week. Also, a full kitchen is available if you choose to cook, with a grocery store 1 block away. I love cooking, so I have everything you could want. I do have a short haired cat, Salami. he is super friendly, and everyone who has stayed here has fallen in love with him. I've even had people here with allergies to cats that havent had a problem, but I cant promise.
Ive been living here since '04, here are some of the highlights:
Fette Sau...amazing BBQ!!!!
Williamsburg Music Hall....look for shows there before you come.
Water Taxi to (email hidden) boards 3 blocks away on the water.
Waterfront food court and pier...very cool.
Peter Lugers...an old, famous steak house, dry ages the meat for 3 months!
Dressler restaurant....Michelin star 5 years running.
Brooklyn Bowl is a truly unique bowling alley that has concerts and food as well.
Also, some very cool food carts have been lining the streets these past few years. I haven't tried them all, but they look great.
Too much more to mention
Conrad was a great host, he took the booking on less than an hour's notice and went out of his way to make me welcome. His place is right in the middle of Williamsburg and very comfy.
We spent two great nights at Conrad's place. New Year's Eve in Brooklyn and you definitely don't find a better place right in the middle of everything! The flat is so great located!!! Conrad is very laid-back and respectful. The only bad thing: The flat was definitely not clean.
We had a great stay at Conrad's. The flat was warm and clean and the location is absolutely perfect. There are many nice and interesting bars and restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood and Manhattan is only a 5min subway ride away. Conrad took us out in Williamsburg and we had a fantastic evening. We enjoyed our stay in New York very much and we can only recommend Conrad's place.
Conrad was a perfect host and the room was wonderful. Perfect location in the heart of Williamsburg and a few stops from Manhattan.
This was definitely a cool place to stay. Nearby the subway in the heart of Williamsburg on the top of a bar. Can't get better than that. Conrad is an awesome dude. We had some drinks and even made me dinner on my arrival, the guy is a true host. Salami (his cat) was also very friendly. To sum it up: Awesome.
Conrad was my first Airbnb experience and he was a great host! Would definitely recommend him and his accomodation. Perfectly located in the heart of Williamsburg.
Conrad squeezed me in when I accidentally overbooked my own place on airbnb. Key pick-up was easy with the bar downstairs, and the kitty was a pleasure :)
Great location & apartment. Conrad was a gracious host too.
Didn't actually meet Conrad since he was traveling himself, his friend Josh took care of everything. He was a very nice and funny guy and a great host. The location is as it says perfect, just of Bedford and 2 min to the bedford av L train station.
Conrad has a great place, very roomy and very central. Nice chill guy too, and a great cat. I really enjoyed staying with him.
