Quaint Cottage, 35 square meters, with 12 square meters garden / court
Quaint and bright cottage about 35 sm, 5 minutes walking from Santa Maria in Trastevere.
Recently restored. Double entrance and a pleasant independent court with access from an internal area of a quiet garden placed on top of a hill.
Downstairs you have a nice living room (english antique furniture, double sofa, TV, wi-fi) a bright kitchen (with gas cookers, electric oven, refrigerator and washing machine) and a bathroom with shower cabin.
Upstairs you have the bed and the closet. The cottage can host up to 4 people. For info (email hidden)e cottage is placed in the most characteristic part of Trastevere where you can find the most typical shops and restaurants.
Although is located 5 minutes walking from Santa Maria in Trastevere (which is in the trendy and crowded center of the district), next to the convenient shops and restaurants, the cottage is located in a calm and quiet area as the countryside.
It is placed on a hill which is linked to the street by a flight of 50 comfortable easy steps (height 15 cm each).
It is definetely the right place you can enjoy after a day visiting Rome and share for a pleasant stay with your family or your friends.
Guests will have access to the cottage from an internal courtyard located on top of a little hill.
Interaction with Guests
Roberto, or occasionally a trusted person, will give the keys and give all the information on the apartment and about the district
The apartment is located in the old part of Trastevere. Trastevere is rione XIII of Rome, on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City. Its name comes from the Latin trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber".
Nowadays, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. At night, both natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants. However, much of the original character of Trastevere remains.
Today, Trastevere still maintains its character thanks to the winding streets covered with cobblestones which is overlooked by medieval houses. The night is filled with people, both Italian and foreign, thanks to the wealth of restaurants and pubs for every price range.
It is one of the most lively, characteristic and self-sufficient city. It offers typical Roman restaurants and pizzerias as well as cinemas, markets (San Cosimato renovated just recently), banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, shops of every kind and elegant shops"The area is also home to John Cabot University, a private American University, the American Academy in Rome, and the Rome campus of the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, the Canadian University of Waterloo School of Architecture (between the months of September and December), and the American Pratt Institute School of Architecture therefore serving as home to an international student body.
The unique character of this neighborhood has attracted artists, foreign expats, and many famous people.

Grazie Roberto
Wonderful Easter Weekend in Rome with family and 2 kids. What to say that hasn't been already said ? Roberto has been a very welcoming and helpful host. The apartment is charming, functional and clean. Its possible (even with kids !) to reach most attractions by foot including a playground only 5 min away (Piazza Cosimato). Enjoyed having Expresso in the morning (with provided machine) sitting outside the apartment under a palmtree. Is there a better way to start your day in Rome ? Grazie Mille Roberto ! Hope to come again soon Ciao Andreas & Family
We had a great time at the Trastevere cottage ! the place is ideally located and is very charming with its duplex style and small terrace.
Merci beaucoup Roberto
A une prochaine fois
Roberto was a fantastic host from start to finish. He was very proactive during the booking process and made it all seamless. The apartment was cozy and really the perfect for us (two adults and one child) for our 4 day Rome stint. The listing description was very accurate – with the apartment being very clean and appointed with all the necessities – and we had absolutely no complaints. The location was fantastic for walking to all the key Rome sites and well placed in Trastevere in a quiet area of the neighborhood. We relied on many of Roberto’s suggestions during the week (restaurants, shopping, etc,) and were never disappointed. For our next trip to Rome, we would definitely use this property or one of Roberto’s other apartment options.
We had a great time in Rome and the cottage is wonderful! It is very quiet at night although there are lots of restaurants, bars and people in trastevere. The area around the cottage, trastevere, is one of the most beautiful in Rome an especially for young people perfect! Roberto was a really good host and welcomed us, explained us the whole area and gave us really good recommendations about caffe, restaurants and sightseeing. Thanks a lot Roberto!
