Interaction with Guests
Roberto, or occasionally a trusted person, will give the keys and give all the information on the apartment and about the district
The apartment is located in the old part of Trastevere. Trastevere is rione XIII of Rome, on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City. Its name comes from the Latin trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber".
Nowadays, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. At night, both natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants. However, much of the original character of Trastevere remains.
Today, Trastevere still maintains its character thanks to the winding streets covered with cobblestones which is overlooked by medieval houses. The night is filled with people, both Italian and foreign, thanks to the wealth of restaurants and pubs for every price range.
It is one of the most lively, characteristic and self-sufficient city. It offers typical Roman restaurants and pizzerias as well as cinemas, markets (San Cosimato renovated just recently), banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, shops of every kind and elegant shops"The area is also home to John Cabot University, a private American University, the American Academy in Rome, and the Rome campus of the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, the Canadian University of Waterloo School of Architecture (between the months of September and December), and the American Pratt Institute School of Architecture therefore serving as home to an international student body.
The unique character of this neighborhood has attracted artists, foreign expats, and many famous people.

We cannot think of a better place to stay in Trastevere. Very comfortable, peaceful and quiet, surrounded by locals. Yet busy Trastevere and Rome only a few minutes away.
Roberto was very welcoming and helpful.
Our stay at Roberto's cottage could not have been better. Roberto was so welcoming, meeting us upon our arrival and went over everything pertaining to the cottage. He took the time to tell us about restaurants, shops, and local markets in the area. It was so nice to come home to the peacefulness of cottage after a busy day walking around Rome. Could not have asked for a better experience!
Trastevere is a great neighborhood, and the cottage is beautiful. Roberto is very friendly and helpful. Our stay in Rome was the best part of the trip! Thanks :)
We stayed in this wonderful cottage for one week in June.
It is exactly as it is described in Airbnb.
Roberto is a great hoast, his tips, which he sent before, are extremely informativ and usefull.
The cottage is a nice, green and quiet place for relaxing after a long day in Rome.
We will come back for sure and thank Roberto für his warm welcome.
What a beautiful, peaceful apartment! My group of 4 loved staying at Roberto's place. The location is perfect for those who like to stay away from the super tourist areas, and get a taste of what people who live in Rome experience, where the shop, drink and eat. The apartment came with MORE than anyone could ever ask for while staying at an AirBnB, was super clean, and comfortably fit 4 people.
Additionally, Roberto was a fabulous host. He showed us around the apartment, grounds, and gave us FABULOUS tips for our stay in Rome.
Thank you, Roberto, for your hospitality!
Excellent host.....very organised & helpful....the apartment was beautifully appointed and vey clean......it was in a lovely quiet area but close to all the things that Trastevere is known for ....good restaurants, cafes etc....lots of steps and walking however so keep that in mind if that is a problem
Our Trastevere Cottage was the perfect spot for a getaway in Rome. Of all areas we visited in Rome this was our favorite neighborhood. A lot of activity and liveliness surround this area, but the serenity of the cottage if the best place to retreat to at night.
Roberto was the perfect host. He met us promptly, was thorough in helping us understand the area and was extremely easy to communicate with during the entire process. We will certainly look to Roberto the next time we take a Roman holiday.
