Interaction with Guests
Roberto, or occasionally a trusted person, will give the keys and give all the information on the apartment and about the district
The apartment is located in the old part of Trastevere. Trastevere is rione XIII of Rome, on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City. Its name comes from the Latin trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber".
Nowadays, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. At night, both natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants. However, much of the original character of Trastevere remains.
Today, Trastevere still maintains its character thanks to the winding streets covered with cobblestones which is overlooked by medieval houses. The night is filled with people, both Italian and foreign, thanks to the wealth of restaurants and pubs for every price range.
It is one of the most lively, characteristic and self-sufficient city. It offers typical Roman restaurants and pizzerias as well as cinemas, markets (San Cosimato renovated just recently), banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, shops of every kind and elegant shops"The area is also home to John Cabot University, a private American University, the American Academy in Rome, and the Rome campus of the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, the Canadian University of Waterloo School of Architecture (between the months of September and December), and the American Pratt Institute School of Architecture therefore serving as home to an international student body.
The unique character of this neighborhood has attracted artists, foreign expats, and many famous people.

Terrific welcome by Roberto.
Very friendly and generous human being.
The apartment and neighbourhood was exactly as Roberto described it. The apartment is small but functional and cosy. The location is quiet ,clean and in a great position to access the busy areas of Trastevere. Roberto met me, was extremely welcoming and explained everything to me.
I think staying at Roberto's cottage in Trastevere Rome has been one of our best AirBnB experiences to date.
My wife and I stayed in this cottage in July as part of our honeymoon.
Great communication from Roberto in the run up to our stay.
Roberto met us with our bags from our taxi, and helped us carry our things up the staircase to the cottage (he's a lovely chap). He showed us around the cottage, which is wonderful – well designed, cosy, comfortable. It has a nice outdoor area with a table and chairs, perfect for breakfast outside.
The huge advantage of this cottage for us was the air conditioning – we stayed during a heatwave in July and the AC kept the cottage at a cool temperature. Combined with the comfortable bed, we slept really well here – you wouldn't think you were a few minutes walk from the bustle of Trastevere!
Roberto put together a very complete book of info about the cottage and the area which he talked through when we arrived – there were some amazing suggestions for food, particularly the bakery La Renella which is 10 mins away.
WIFI worked well, but as we were on honeymoon that didn't matter too much to us. Washing machine was useful as we'd been on a long trip.
Roberto kindly allowed us a bit more time on check out and even arranged our taxi for us.
We loved staying here - it was like a quiet cottage in the countryside, but then you walk down the steps and you're in Trastevere! We walked to the Monument of Victor Emmanuel II in about 20 minutes too (which is pretty much central Rome), so location wise this place is fantastic.
Check out the Garibaldi monument if you stay here – about 15 min walk from the cottage – the best view of Rome!
Thanks again Roberto can't wait to stay again : )
This lovely cottage will give you a warm feeling, the feeling of living in a village in the middle of Rome. Clean, cozy and perfect location. Very kind owner, perfect communication.
The cottage location is great if you want to be in proximity but also away from the tourist areas. The cottage is charming and Roberto was attentive to our needs. It's a great place.
