Interaction with Guests
I love meeting guests and sharing stories...providing you insider information on all the wonderful things San Francisco has to offer...but I also respect your privacy.
Charming and safe neighborhood central to anywhere in the city. Twenty minute bus ride to all tourist sites and the buses run all night to this neighborhood. 24th Street is the neighborhoods main street with lots of great 4 star restaurants, cafes, clothing boutiques, a Whole Foods organic grocery and artisan shops. The neighborhood is very colorful, filled with classic painted victorians and a diverse population. Noe Valley is one of San Francisco's most popular neighborhoods bordering the Castro and the Mission. Great walks, parks, views, (email hidden)n't find a better neighborhood.
Conveniently located to multiple bus lines that get you downtown within 20 minutes. The #24, # 35, #48 and J Church line are all closely. The F, K, L, M lines are a short walk or 5 minute bus ride. Street parking is easily accessible, a rarity for San Francisco. To get from the airport you can take BART to 24th Street and then take the #48 bus for 10 minutes to Castro Street. Daria may also be available to pick you up from the airport for $35 charge (cheaper than any car or taxi service). Let me know if you want to contact her.

Although my partner was sick upon our arrival and throughout the entire trip, we would spend most of the day out trying to see as much as possible and staying in every night. We rarely saw Judith and her partner, but we were very welcomed by Squishy the Cat. Squishy helped us feel warm and cozy as the weather was quite cold in the room.
My son and I spent four nights at Judith and Daria's home, and it became our home base in the city. The house was colorful and comfortable and welcoming in a peaceful way. We were only there in the mornings and evenings after dinner, but it would have been lovely to relax there during the day if we hadn't been so busy. Squishy the cat was super friendly, and my son loved playing with her both inside and out on the back deck. Further into spring and summer the backyard deck will be a great place to enjoy meals, and I tried it our first morning, but it was a bit too cool. The view from the deck is lovely: neighborhoods straight ahead and a glimpse at the bay in the distance to the right. We liked being able to keep a few food items in the refrigerator and preparing our breakfasts and bag lunches before we went exploring for the day. Perhaps our favorite thing was coming to view the house, the street, and surrounding neighborhood as our home in the city. It had so much more personality than hotel accommodations, and we settled happily into our room each night after very long days out and about. Concerning transportation, we had a car with us and were always able to find parking within half a block of the house. We took public transportation down to Fishermans Wharf one day, and it was so simple from the house; we got the bus a block away, made one transfer, and were dropped off directly in front of the Alcatraz cruise we had scheduled. This was our first airbnb experience, and it was a very positive one. Thanks for opening your home to us.
Lovely location with great connections to the downtown and with good restaurants around. Judith and Daria are very nice hosts to stay at and the house is amazing, clean and welcoming.
We stayed two nights. We felt welcomed by the host but didnt se her so much around. Mostly because we were out exploring. It's a nice house with a cosy garden. A bit far from the downtown area but that's what we wanted and we enjoyed the area!
Lovely apartment and Judith is a wonderful host. Check-in was very flexible which was perfect for me as I was running around the city. My boyfriend and I stayed in the front room. Recycling/trash came on Thursday morning...early so be warned if you're a light sleeper. I only got a chance to meet Judith and crew briefly but they were super friendly and welcoming. Softest towels ever!
We loved it. Great room, spacious, lots of light, comfortable bed and comfortable sofa.
Located walking distance to good restaurants and a whole foods. Judith and Daria were great too.
Judith was very welcoming and I immediately felt like part of the family. The neighborhood was residential and I felt very safe even coming back late in the evening. The bus was super handy and connect to the main Muni line after a short ride.
The house was super clean, the bed super comfortable and I slept well. This house was perfect for me, especially sine I had never been to San Francisco before and had no idea what I was doing or how to get there. Judith's tranaportation suggestions were vey welcome.

While I'm originally from NYC, I have lived in San Francisco for over 35 years. I know this City intimately and would love to share its secrets and quirkiness with you.
I work full time in public healthcare for people who are poor and homeless. I've been extremely lucky to have worked most of my career in jobs that are meaningful and dedicated to helping the underserved. I've also had a diversity of jobs...from the first woman to help re-build San Francisco's cable cars, to working with Mayors..i can share lots of insider stories.
However, my true love is painting. The house is filled with my paintings and reflects how much I love color. And music, my partner is a musician ...feel free to play the piano in our living room.
I am blessed to have raised two amazing children now in their 20's and have just been overjoyed by the arrival of my grandson--all the greatest gifts I have ever been graced with.
I'm a fellow world wide traveler and have used airbnb on my own travels so I am sensitive to that delicate balance between giving you your privacy and providing a warm host experience.
I love great food (and can share with you all the best and unknown places to eat), cooking, yoga, art, historical novels, friendship, movies and good conversation.
I love hosting on AirBnB and have met incredible people from all over the world. I"m committed to making your stay in San Francisco memorable so please let me know how I can help you while you are here.
