About This Listing
Williamsburg, currently one of New York's hippest neighborhoods, is an unlikely amalgam of small houses, warehouses, clubs, coffee shops (LOTS of coffee shops) galleries, new condominiums, dozens of restaurants, a wonderful book shop, bars, performance spaces, a world-class cheese shop, thrift stores, clothing boutiques, and looming remnants of the New York waterfront's industrial past.
Our apartment is on North 7th Street, two and a half blocks from the Bedford Ave stop on the L train, the first stop in Brooklyn and a 5-minute ride from Union Square. It's a half-block from the East River State Park, which has summer concerts and a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline. An esplanade runs south along the river. From a landing at North 6th Street there’s ferry service to various stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. There's a running track in nearby McCarren Park and a bike path along Kent Avenue. At the end of our block, every weekend between April and November, there's Smorgasburg: an outdoor artisanal food market where approximately 75 vendors sell both packaged and prepared food, from pulled pork sandwiches to fried anchovies and heavenly donuts (Saturdays). On Sundays, there's the open-air Brooklyn Flea, a mix of booths selling vintage, antique, and handmade goods, as well as food vendors.
We supply sheets and towels.
We don't charge a cleaning fee.
We speak French, German, and Italian.
The apartment has:

Everything was exactly as the host said it would be! We found the keys easily and got in on our own. The listing was just as nice as pictured, and there were grocery staples and toiletries to boot! The neighborhood was amazing too, an easy walk to the subway, and grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. We couldn't have been happier with where we chose to stay or with our hosts. Just to note, the unit is up on the 3rd floor and the stairs are a bit narrow and steep.
Bob is great. Super welcoming and fascinating person whom I would like to know more about. Knows the neighborhood intimately and has lots of info to share!! The apartment is super cute wt a beautiful shared garden below!! Best location EVER in great part of Williamsburg.
Fantastic apartment with a great lokation in the middle of cozy Williamsburg. Could not be better. Safe and good apartment with a nice shared garden close to the subway, Manhattan skyline and shopping. We had a good contact with Bob and Sevgi, who were very helpful during our stay. We had a very friendly wellcome and smooth check in and out. I will recommend this apartment to others and like to come again.
Great location. It is ideal for two couples or a family apartment. We will return.
The institute is a beautiful, clean and peaceful appartement perfectly located in Williamsburg. Bob was a great host full of advices and really helpful. I would recommend this place to stay to anyone willing to spend some time close to Manhattan in a great neighbourhood.
Le logement correspondait parfaitement à la description. Le quartier est vraiment chouette, surtout le soir. A deux pas du métro. L'accueil était très chaleureux.
