Description

The space

Williamsburg, currently one of New York's hippest neighborhoods, is an unlikely amalgam of small houses, warehouses, clubs, coffee shops (LOTS of coffee shops) galleries, new condominiums, dozens of restaurants, a wonderful book shop, bars, performance spaces, a world-class cheese shop, thrift stores, clothing boutiques, and looming remnants of the New York waterfront's industrial past.

Our apartment is on North 7th Street, two and a half blocks from the Bedford Ave stop on the L train, the first stop in Brooklyn and a 5-minute ride from Union Square. It's a half-block from the East River State Park, which has summer concerts and a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline. An esplanade runs south along the river. From a landing at North 6th Street there’s ferry service to various stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. There's a running track in nearby McCarren Park and a bike path along Kent Avenue. At the end of our block, every weekend between April and November, there's Smorgasburg: an outdoor artisanal food market where approximately 75 vendors sell both packaged and prepared food, from pulled pork sandwiches to fried anchovies and heavenly donuts (Saturdays). On Sundays, there's the open-air Brooklyn Flea, a mix of booths selling vintage, antique, and handmade goods, as well as food vendors.

We supply sheets and towels.
We don't charge a cleaning fee.
We speak French, German, and Italian.

The apartment has:
* a private entrance through our garden
* two bedrooms with queen-sized beds
* a complete and fully stocked kitchen
* tons of sunlight
* free wifi
* DVD player (no TV)

Charming hosts who provide great tips on the neighborhood. Good communications. Comfortable 2 bedroom place on 3rd floor overlooking a lovely courtyard. Well furnished, good wifi. Next door to a weekend artsy crafty market, near the river, and right in the heart of Williamsburg.

Great location, set back from the street keeps its convenient and quiet. The neighborhood is on point and many options for food and drink are within minutes walking. Close to the L train and a solid place to stay for a no frills escape.

We loved our stay at Bob's place! Super cool neighbourhood with hip stores and great restaurant. It's really easy to go to Manhattan and other places with the L train just a couple of blocks away. Felt right at home at The appartment and we recommend all to book it for their stay in NYC.

We stayed in this apartment for five nights with four people and had a great time. The apartment was clean and you can get to Manhattan in no time with the subway which you can reach in a 5 minutes walk. The communication with Bob worked out perfectly and we had absolutely nothing to complain about. We definitely recommend to stay there.
