Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
This sweet 1920's bungalow offers a great place to retreat, unwind, and step back in time. You will find everything you need while you experience the charm of Hot Springs and its proximity to all this area has to offer. From the cottage, you will be able to walk to the Appalachian Trail, natural hot springs spa, local brewery, famous local diner, restaurants, shops, and more. And if you have more of an adventure up your sleeve, you can get to many other trails and destinations along with Ashevil

The space
A great space to retreat & unwind

Bedroom: King-sized bed with charming decor and soothing palettes

Bathroom: Lots of natural light with a large, jetted garden tub & shower combo.

Living room: Views over the creek & a gas fireplace with Smart TV for streaming your favorite channels.

Kitchen: The cozy kitchen is equipped with everything you need to eat in if you choose. Small dining table, coffee maker with filters and coffee provided, full size fridge, stove and microwave.

There is a new (early 2025) washer and dryer for guest usage.

Outside: During the warmer months, enjoy a wraparound deck that overlooks a beautiful bend in Spring Creek. Comfortable seating and an outdoor grill welcome you.

In the cooler months when you can't be outside, enjoy the same view from large windows in front of a gas fireplace in the cozy living room.

At the Blue Heron Cottage, you will find everything you need while you experience the charm of Hot Springs and its proximity to all this area has to offer. From the cottage, you will be able to walk to the Appalachian Trail, natural hot springs spa, local brewery, famous local diner, restaurants, shops, and more. And if you have more of an adventure up your sleeve, you can get to many other trails and destinations along with Asheville in less than an hour's drive. Blue Heron Cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood that is very walkable.
Parking is located on level with the cottage in a space just below the front entrance.

Other things to note
Blue Heron Cottage is pet-friendly with a $75 pet fee for 1 pet under 60 lbs per stay. We ask guests to keep pets off of furniture and to follow the leash law in town.

Hot Springs is a great destination in all seasons! The weather is mild, and roads are tended in the wintertime.

Summer is a wonderful season to enjoy many things to do outside in Western North Carolina, including rafting and tubing, ziplining, shopping in Asheville and Gatlinburg and nearby small towns, and venturing up to Max Patch Bald for a picnic.

Spring sees beautiful mountain wildflowers and hikers traveling through Hot Springs on the Appalachian Trail. This is a time to enjoy the gentle unfolding of life.

Fall never disappoints with endless potential to see the trees changing at different elevations and finishing your day with a fire and soak in the natural hot springs or a beer at Big Pillow Brewing.
