  • We had a great time at Cheryl and Miguel's place! The house is great and they are very welcoming. We where received as if we where at home and Cheryl made sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and the room very clean.

Another great thing is that the house is located a few minutes walk from the village and the mountains.

We would definitely go back if we had to stay in the area.

  • Fantastic place!
Close to the center of N. Conway and at the same time very secluded and private. Сheryl and Miguel are great, great hosts, we spent enjoyable evenings by the fire sharing the stories and sipping wine. Cheryl also gave us a very good map and explained a lot about the area.

The room is great -- warm, cosy, private, very good bed. The breakfast is delicious. The shower is wonderful!
    It's a shame we couldn't stay longer :)

  • My friend and I stayed at Gun-Ho Lodge for two nights and we had a wonderful B&B experience. Our host Cheryl greeted us with a nice cup of tea and yummy homemade cookies. The Gun-Ho Lodge is a wonderful wooden house where you feel at home the minute you step inside. The twin room was lovely and the beds were really comfortable. Great bathroom and fantastic breakfast. The first morning we had fresh fruit with nice cereal, various seeds and nuts, and yoghurt and the second morning we were treated to yummy waffles. A highlight of our stay was a dinner with Cheryl, where we enjoyed excellent mussels and a very nice cooked fish dish. We very much enjoyed sitting in front of the fire with a cup of tea or a glass of wine and chatting to Cheryl about traveling and other topics. This truly was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend staying at the Gun-Ho Lodge. Thanks again for everything.

  • all thumbs up for this place. The house is just beautiful and the perfect setting for great landscape, forest and waterfalls around. But more important: Cheryl and Miguel are just AWESOME! Imagine a funny pirate of the carribean and his five-star cooking wife, guiding moose tours in her spare time. Really, these two are the most interesting people we've ever met.

  • Miguel, Cheryl & the Gun-Ho Lodge were wonderful. We were greeted by Miguel with a cup of tea, excellent conversation, and great suggestions for dinner. Both Miguel and Cheryl provided us we wonderful suggestions for our drive through the White Mountains and their advice worked out well. We were able to see everything we had identified before arriving plus a lot more. The lodge is very unique and was built by Cheryl's dad making it all the more special. Breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt and nuts was a welcome change in our travel diet!

  • Cheryl and Miguel were superb hosts! It felt more like coming home to family than staying with strangers. Their place is great: Great room, astounding view! We felt very much like home. Cheryl and Miguel think of every possible way to make your stay an unforgettable one: You wanna hike? They show you the best trails. You wanna drive up Mt. Washington? They show you the best route and mark it on a map. If I ever get back to NH, I will definitely stay at their place. My friend and I really had a great time at their place. Big bonus: the conversations next to the fireplace and the amazing breakfast. Definitely recommended!

  • Spent one night with them on peak foliage season with my girlfriend.

Miguel and Cheryl are definetely two of the coolest people you will ever meet. Amazing place in an unbelievable location by the woods and a river, any photos can only do the place injustice. Amazing talks, outgoing, hospitable, we hung out by the outdoor fireplace at night and had a ton of fun.

Helped us incredibly with their suggestions, made us feel at home from the moment we set foot in the door, shared stories with us from their incredible life experiences, they were the best hosts one can be.

Will definetely go back to conway, will definetely stay with them (that is, if they'll have us), this time for a longer period.

    Thank you guys!

  • A wonderful place to stay.
Our host were warm-hearted and attentive. We had really nice conversations with them around the fireplace. On top of that, Cheryl made us amazing Belgian Waffles for breakfast (as we are from Belgium :) )!
Thank you Cheryl and Miguel, we'll come back for sure!

Originally from Boston, Ma., we have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad before settling in N. Conway, N.H. in 2004. Our interests range from travel, sailing, kayaking, hiking and basically outdoor activities of all kinds. Cheryl is an avid reader with a psychology background and is happy in the galley preparing great meals. Miguel is a "hands on" person with a construction background from climbing industrial chimneys to project managing communication network installs at Kennedy Space Center. For the past 15 years our main interest has been sailing our 32' Down East cutter rig sail boat in the Caribbean, and traveling where and when we can by land, air, or sea. Meeting and getting to know people and their cultures and customs as we travel is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
