  • Our best recommendations for both Jorge and Angela. We had a great time in Santo Domingo. Jorge drive us around city, helped us with money exchange, show us where we can go for a diner. Angela was very informative and helped us select the next steps through our DR trip.

I highly recommend stay at their home!

  • Muy buena mi primera experiencia en este modo de hospedaje. Es mérito total de la encantadora familia que elegí. Hicieron que mi estadía es su hogar resultase agradable por su acogida y trato, así que me sentí como en mi casa. Gracias.

  • Very well kept room in a gated housing complex. An easy 45-min walk to the colonial zone.

Angela, Jorge and grandma are great people. They were more than willing to help out with anything, helped me book a tour and drive me around when needed. They made sure I felt safe and comfortable. They are Airbnb veterans and I would enthusiastically recommend them. Plus, three very well behaved and beautiful dogs.

  • I had a really nice stay with Angela and Jorge (and Esperanza and the dogs :-))

They were so kind to meet me in the airport, and afterwards we went for lunch together and watched a movie. I felt so at home, which was amazing after four weeks of traveling!

The house is close the the Museum of Modern Arts, and the national theatre, and within walking distance of Zona Colonial - probably 30 minutes of walking on the Bolivar street.

I highly recommend staying here, I couldn't have had a better place to end my tour of the Carribean!

  • Angela and Jorge are a very friendly, funny and talkative couple - typical people living in the DR. They tell me a lot about the island and traveling destination since they are traveling fans themselves. They make a good complementary duel of characteristics so that either you are man or woman, you will find interesting topics to talk with. Their mom, even not to speak English, is also youthful and caring as well. I have an unexpected personal issue during my stay, they helped me to fix nicely.

  • My best recommendations for both Jorge and Angela. My flight got delayed 2hrs! and they were nice to follow it up to pick me up at the airport.
When we got to their place, Angela's mom, Esperanza, was waiting for us with a nice traditional Dominican dish. Together with their dogs welcomed me as a close friend.
During my stay, they both arrange their schedules to be available and facilitate my stay by guiding me and driving to different spots in and out of the city.
Their place is in a good area with a nice terrace, a good size room with mini refrigerator, big fans, and travel kits in case you
forget something (toothpaste, shampoo, etc) and you have your own bathroom.
I'm very glad I found them and be able to stay with them. They made my trip swell.

  • Angela and Jorge are great people and I can recommend staying at their house very much! They were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. They both work very hard but still try and manage to make time for you and make sure you are well. I am very happy I chose to stay at their house. It's a lovely house with a very nice room, and the neighbourhood is safe and it's close to the cultural centre where there are some very nice museums. Angela and Jorge have 3 dogs who are very enthusiastic and sweet! Angela's mom was also very nice and I enjoyed some nice talks over breakfast with her. They treated me as part of the family while i was there, and I will surely stay there again if I go to the DR again in the future. Oh and last but not least, Angela is a chef and cooks delicious meals!

  • Angela, Esperanza and Jorge are super! Not only were all of them very welcoming but also helped us manage our beginning journey through their island. Tourist guideing, fried salami breakfast with mangu, superb cuba libre on terrasse conversations and wet kisses of their guarddog princess are part of the service. We hope to be able to stay again at Angela and Jorges place in the future.

  • Angela and her mother treated me and my sister like superstars. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. The house is very nice and in a safe part of town, within a short taxi ride of everywhere. The house has 3 dogs so dog friendly is a must - but they are very nice so not to worry. The room is nice and Angela provides everything you need (tooth brush, shower gel etc.). There is no AC in the room but 2 fans which provide cooling. This really was a home away from home experience!

  • My trip to the Dominican Republic has been a wonderful experience, thanks to Angela and Jorge who were my superb Airbnb hosts during the first week and last day of my visit to that beautiful country. The accommodation provided was comfortable and what I had expected, while the care and attention provided by my hosts was above and beyond what I expected. From the time I was met by Jorge and whisked out of the airport (there is nothing better than a friendly face meeting you at an unfamiliar airport) to the time I was brought to his home after some stops along the way to meet Angela who manages a restaurant concession in an exclusive private school, and also being introduced immediately to the Santo Domingo scene and its friendly people, it had been a wonderful start to my long awaited vacation. Their place is within walking distance to all conveniences, such as restaurants, banks, supermercado, fruit stalls, etc. Right on Gomez street, I had an ice cold drink of coconut water and ate chunks of the young coconut from inside the shell, being peddled by a person from a pushcart. It was delicious. The zona colonial where the good restaurants are is a good 15 minutes drive away. I just took public transportation, which involves a little bit of a walk to the corner stop. Jorge and Angela are very busy people on weekdays, but on my first weekend they took me to a trip to the north, which was an unforgettable experience for me. We ate at their favorite place at Playa Galera, underneath a palapa roofed restaurant located right on the beach that is frequented by locals. The grilled langostinos I had with rice and peas were fresh and delicious. The beach, hardly visited by tourists, was beautiful and serene. Later, they took me to Vista Mare, a new condo in Samana, as I had told them I want to find a condo apartment to buy in the DR. That condo was so beautiful, overlooking the ocean with such an awesome view and 2 fantastic pools and a great restaurant that we decided to stay there overnight. It was so wonderful sharing such experience with my new found friends! I spent the rest of my vacation up north in Sosua/Cabarete with another Airbnb host (another wonderful experience), but spent my last night in Santo Domingo and was treated by Angela to her superb cooking, shared with her lovable mother and a Chilean friend. What a great dinner to cap my visit to the DR! The next day I left for the States. Jorge took me to the airport and never left my side until he saw me walk through immigration. Jorge and Angela – please accept my heartfelt thanks for a wonderful, wonderful vacation. You do great credit to Airbnb for being such perfect hosts. I look forward to seeing you again, and this time I will bring my wife.
