My wife and I stayed down at St. Simons for a wedding this past weekend and we could not have asked for a better experience. Mary was an amazing host, as friendly as ever. The apartment was perfect for a quiet few nights away from everything. It's a short distance from everywhere you could want to visit and we weren't in need of anything. We've already recommended this little hideaway to many of our friends and we're hoping to get back sometime in the near future.
What a wonderfully peaceful and cozy place Mary has created. We loved stting with the windows open, reading and listening to birdsong. Azaleas were blooming all over the island, and we were greeted by honeysuckle at Mary's front gate. Mary's communication was excellent, and she was very pleasant in person. We would love to come back sometime!
My husband and I found this accommodation to be perfect for our vacation in March. We were tired from 1 week if travel, and still had another week. The self-contained apartment gave us the privacy, peaceful setting, efficiency, and full amenities that we needed. The decor was fresh and breezy. The back upper deck was lovely for morning coffee and evening wine -and private!
Mary was kind, thoughtful and there if we needed her. The island of St. Simons and neighbouring Jekyll Isl. were worth the visit.
I have nothing but great things to say about Mary's place. It's clean and quiet. Mary is available if you need anything. Mary did everything she could to make our stay comfortable! I'm recommending this place to my friends/family.
This was such a nice place to stay! We had everything we needed and more. We will definitely consider coming back!
We had a wonderful time in Saint Simons thanks to our stay at Mary's! The apartment was spotless, cozy and had everything my boyfriend and I needed for our 2 night stay. I'm sad to say I didn't get the opportunity to meet Mary but her communication and quick responses made me feel like we did. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
We are so glad we stayed at Mary's apartment! It has everything you need in a cute, compact space!!! I loved the way the kitchen was organized. I soooo wished we had more time to stay, but next time we will definitely stay longer so we can use the bikes that so many other guests wrote about. Nice sidewalks along the road for walking and biking in St. Simons. Lovely live oak trees in the neighborhood! The beach is a short drive away where you can watch pelicans, willets, sanderlings, and more!
Mary was such a thoughtful host! Even though we booked last-minute, when she heard we were traveling with a little one, she put a pack 'n' play in the closet for us and stopped by to lend us a few of her grandson's toys. We needed a spot to rest on the road, and her apartment was perfect--clean, comfortable, and in a great location. So perfect in fact, we're talking about coming back when the weather's warmer!
Very cute place with everything you need. Mary had the place done up for the holidays - nice! Thanks. Very much recommended.
This place has many charms, from the secluded location, relaxing deck, compact yet complete kitchen, and lots of options for entertainment whether you decide to stay in or go out! My friend and I enjoyed our three-day stay. We took the bikes out for a spin around the island and picked up some local seafood for a meal in. There are many parks/historical areas nearby for activities and day trips. Unfortunately, we got some rain, but with (email hidden) player, strong internet, and cable tv, the vacation was saved.
