Nothing fancy to see here! The Lotus Healing Hut is a cozy 16' solar-powered 'zome' with sunrise views, large windows, open-air bathroom, kitchenette, AC/heat, and a peaceful place to relax in the Texas Hill Country.

We are doing our best to work with Nature as we create our home and open our 14 acres of raw beautiful land to guests. Opportunity to connect with Nature.

We have 18 hole disc golf, yoga meditation dome, hammocks, book room, trails, community spaces, etc!

The space
The Lotus Healing Hut is one of Hidden Valley's newest stays, built on the hillside location that was once home to our glamping tent. After years of guests enjoying the views from this special corner of the property, we decided to create something more permanent—a fully insulated geometric zome designed for year-round comfort while maintaining the same connection to Nature and the Texas Hill Country.

(If you're reading reviews from before the Lotus Healing Hut was built, those reviews reflect guests' experiences enjoying this exact location and the overall Hidden Valley property- previously the Lotus Glamping Tent. The Lotus itself is a completely new structure (and not a glamping tent) featuring tall ceilings, large windows, air conditioning and heat, a kitchenette, and an open-air bathroom.)

The Lotus Healing Hut is a 16 foot zome perched on a deck overlooking the Texas Hill Country.

The zome is fully insulated and climate controlled with a mini-split for year-round comfort. Large windows stretch toward the ceiling, creating a bright interior and bringing the surrounding landscape into the space.

The kitchenette includes a sink, single-burner propane stove, french press, dishes, cookware, and basic cooking essentials. We provide a cooler and ice for food storage.

The covered deck and open-air bathroom are wrapped in bamboo and thatch, giving the space a simple tropical feel while still being firmly rooted in the Hill Country.

The bathroom includes a composting toilet and private outdoor hot-water shower. Nothing too fancy, but gets the job done!

The Lotus was designed with large windows that welcome the morning sun and evening sky, offering an opportunity to reconnect with natural circadian rhythms. If you’d rather sleep in, we’ve also provided an eye mask.

The Lotus is tucked into its own area of the property, offering a peaceful place to relax while enjoying everything Hidden Valley has to offer. It is a 500’ hike down from the parking. Carts are available to use.

Guest access
The 14 acre property is open for exploration, including a fresh water spring (weather+rain dependent), hammock hangs, picnic tables, some hiking trails, 18-hole disc golf course, and even some fossil and artifact hunting.

On the property, we have a full community kitchen available to all guests. Including grill, cookware, spices, Pitboss smoker, sink, a fridge, etc.

Access to art supplies, board games, etc.

There is also a communal covered social space.

There is also a community book room, The Hideaway.

The neighborhood is a "country" neighborhood: private gravel road, multi-acre properties spaced out, with friendly neighbors all enjoying the peace of Hill Country living.

We require all of our guests to read and understand the directions, check in instructions, and house manual when they arrive. We ask guests to respect the land, the space, and us.

We do use composting toilets in the cabin.

We run off of a rain water system, so water conservation is appreciated.

Responsible dogs only please! If you bring a dog, you must make sure they stay on the property at all times and do not roam onto neighbor’s properties. Their barking should be respectful of others.
