  • My three daughters and myself stayed at the studio for four nights. It was so perfectly located around the corner from Rue Cler and the metro. The Effiel tower was close and could walk to in 5 minutes and view the lights every night. The studio was tidy and clean and had everything we needed including a washing machine/ dryer. It felt very secure and safe and fast wifi. I would highly recommend staying in Rufus' studio.

  • My family recently spent four nights in this studio, and we couldn't have been more pleased with it. The apartment is very clean, tastefully decorated, and felt quite spacious for our family of two adults and two children. The location is perfect, a very safe, quiet neighborhood with a metro station right around the corner and easy access to markets and restaurants. Rufus is a kind and helpful host, and I'm confident that if any assistance was needed, one would need only to ask. I highly recommend this property for your stay in Paris!

  • We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Rufus' flat near Rue Cler. It is in a fantastic location just a half block off Rue Cler on a quiet side street and a short 2 minute walk to the Metro and #69 Bus stop. Can't say enough about the location - you're right in the middle of one of Paris' best neighbourhoods and this is definitely the best feature of this flat! Note that if you're looking for place with a great view, this isn't for you - on one side you look right at the neighbours building and on the other is just a side street and across to another apartment building. Since we spent most of our time out in the city this wasn't a big deal for us. There are motorized shutters/blinds that can make the flat completely dark and private and the flat felt safe and secure.

Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Rufus as he was out of town during our stay but he did arrange for his housekeeper to meet us on our arrival which worked out fine.

We did have a few small issues with the place - there was a couple of holes in the ceilings that had been covered over with some sort of mesh and tape that looked a bit unfinished. All three of the main lights in the bathroom (including the only light in the shower) were burned out when we arrived. We managed fine with just the two lights over the sink though. The shower drain was quite badly clogged when we ran the shower initially to the point that the shower base filled with water and spilled over onto the bathroom floor a couple times. Finally, the shower base looked like it needed a serious scrubbing with bleach - there was some black mould/mildew that should've been quite obvious to the housekeeper (it was to us) and this certainly didn't feel super clean, though the rest of the flat seemed quite clean. We did notify Rufus of the issue with the clogged drain and lights, and he offered to come by and fix them on our last night in town, but we were too busy to set up a time to meet him.

If location is the most important thing to you, this flat is a great choice, and we would consider staying at Rufus' place on our next trip to Paris.

  • My wife and I stayed at Rufus’s flat for 7 nights, and found it met all our expectations including excellent location, close to shopping and restaurants, and easy access to sightseeing locations and transportation. The flat was clean, and offered the basic and beginning amenities needed, expecting the guests to replenish the supplies during their stay. Although we didn’t get to meet our host, his housekeeper oriented us to the apartment and attempted to address any questions or concerns we had. Rufus communicated with us during our stay to ensure we were happy and satisfied with the accommodations.

  • My daughter and I stayed in the this lovely studio for four nights. The studio is located half a block from the shops on Rue Cler. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. There is a metro stop around the corner and the Eiffel Tower is close by. There is also a bus - #69 that is also convenient and scenic.

  • Loved staying in Rufus' flat. It is so well located that we walked everywhere. Rue cler has shops for anything you need, and even some things you don't! We really enjoyed having a place to call home. The neighbourhood felt very safe, even when walking back after midnight. I would stay here again anytime. Rufus was also very accommodating when our flights got changed and we ended up arriving early.

  • Our wonderful stay in Paris was made even more enjoyable due to our accommodations and our attentive host, Rufus Frias. The studio apartment just around the corner from Rue Cler was just perfect and just as we imagined it to be. It met all of our needs and it is apparent that attention to detail is a priority for our host. It's location made it easy to get around the city and it was fun to walk to many of the sights of Paris. Great restaurants and shopping are on Rue Cler and surrounding area. We felt we had a home in Paris and will book again with Rufus if it is available in the future.

Excelente estadia, recomendo!!!!

  • We stayed in this little studio for 4 nights and would describe the overall experience as very comfortable and practical. We stayed with two small kids and managed without problems. Although the first impression was the studio was darker than on the pictures, a sunny day definitely improves a picture. The studio has everything you need and more (phoning to landlines to a vaste range of countries for free!!), and you can always ask the kind Rufus for additional necessities or help. Both he and his wife are always available and reactive.

The studio location is definitely its greatest asset. Easy to get around and close to shops, public transportation and some attractions (Eiffel tower, Branly Museum, Les Invalides, etc) as well as to some nice restaurants, which made it easier for us to stay out longer with the kids and then get them to bed only minutes after the dinner.

I would recommend this studio and Rufus as a host.:)

  • My husband and I spent a fantastic week in Rufus' studio. The pictures are completely accurate: the studio is clean, cute, and conveniently located. Although we never met Rufus, he was extremely accommodating and easy to get a hold of. The location was our favorite part of the studio. You are steps from Rue Cler, and all of the major monuments and attractions are within walking distance (for most). Public transportation is also just steps away and we used both the Metro and RER to explore the area. We used both the kitchen and the washer/dryer, which made our stay in Paris so easy. I would highly recommend staying in Rufus' studio.

About
We moved in the area of Gros Caillou in 2004 and we fell in love with it immediately. The neighborhood has so many things to offer, the grocery stores, the restaurants, the boutiques and the parks. We don't want to leave it with any price. It is perfect for discovering Paris like a local. We hope you enjoy the place as much as we do.
