Casita Rio - Slow Down and Stargaze!

This DOG-FRIENDLY one bedroom-one bath home is the warm and cozy, south facing half of a two family adobe. Casita Rio is right next door to Sister Casita, rent one or both depending on the size of your group!

It features tile flooring, plush carpeting, a wood burning stove and rustic vigas. The kitchen is fully equipped and features Mexican tile and modern appliances. Fun colors and art work make Casita Rio feel like you've come home to heaven. Also included is a washer and dryer.

Enjoy the outdoors from the beautiful wooden deck overlooking a fruit tree laden fenced yard. Three huge apple trees grace the drive way and the kitchen window looks out to a large horse pasture across the road. Cool dogs always welcome!

Located one mile north of Taos Plaza and the Historic District this charming home is within walking distance of in-town shopping, Cid's Natural Foods Market, and many fine restaurants...including our favorite, The Love Apple, right across the street!

  • My husband and I spent 3 nights at Casita Rio//Sister this past May.

The location was great, plaza and restaurants an easy walk. Cid's grocery store just around the corner sells excellent local produce and has a similar vibe to Whole Foods.

We accidentally left a piece of photography equipment which was found and shipped to us in New York.

    HIghly recommend.

  • This worked out great- Jessica responded super quick & it even turned out that we had friends in common! Small world. If we came to Taos with more friends next time we'd definitely consider renting out the other space in the back too.

  • I stayed in a really nice casita. Comfortable furnishings and nice bed. Spacious and clean with full kitchen. No cable, but was not bothered by that one bit. Great location just north of downtown with easy access to everything. Easy on the fly reservation done on my phone through the internet.

  • We absolutely loved Casita Rio in Taos, NM! It was a perfect spot for our family of 5 on our first visit to Taos. Jessica made excellent suggestions for places to eat and the restaurants and shops are all in such close proximity of Casita Rio. Despite Casita Rio being so close to the downtown, it is very private and quite. We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fire places and private yard. We will stay here when we return to Taos! Thanks Airbnb and Jessica!!

About
I am thrilled to be part of a fun loving family. Our collective love of art, music, fresh air, travel and learning keeps our lives vivid and full of wonderful memories together. One season we are taking in the crisp autumns, snowy winters, breathtaking mountain vistas and eclectic history of Northern New Mexico. Next we are soaking up the warm sunshine, tropical breezes, luscious flavors and sacred spirit of the Hawaiian Islands. We are privileged to have found ourselves stewards of three remarkable properties in these magical locations. We have lovingly revived these homes, taking great care to honor the history and sacred space of each one. It is our pleasure to share with you, our gracious guest, these special places so dear to our heart. Welcome, and may your visit with us become part of your own collection of wonderful memories! Aloha!
