Vera and Jack are very friendly and relaxed hosts. The cottage is well equipped, pretty, remote and private. You only need to open the doors to smell the orange blossom! The porto is just a 15 minute walk away, with a bunch of fine restaurants. All the ingredients for a lovely holiday. We had a awesome time!

We've had an absolutely lovely time at La Casona (in early April) and since we're back we've been spreading good word about that charming place. If you're after peaceful secluded (yet easily reachable (with a car) place to stay this is definitely that. We loved to walk out the door to be greeted by the smell of the blooming citrus orchard and occasional iaaa iaaa from the donkey:-) It was clean and if you choose the hut at the back you'll just for yourselves on your small terrace. We also met Vera& Jack and they're really nice hosts. Thanks again Magda, Jan & Ben

Loved our stay in La Casona, very quiet peaceful location but Port de Soller is easily accessible on foot. Good bus and train service to Soller / Deia / Palma. Vera and Jack very kindly organised our collection on arrival and our late night Taxi return journey to the airport. We very much enjoyed the company of Bernardo the Donkey and BBQing in the evening. We most definitely hope to return again some day. Great house / hosts / town!

The location of La Casona is really wonderful overlooking a small orange and lemon orchard in the valley. The house was very spacious for the two of us (for four adults not convenient because of the en suite bathroom). We enjoyed in particular the roof terrace and enjoyed the sunsets during diner. We made several fantastic hiking tours in the mountains. The extra 20 minutes walk to the center of Puerto de Soller was no issue, but you have to plan for buying your groceries! Vera arranged a pick up at arrival at the bus stop, which was great. We didn't have the chance to meet Vera, but Jack, her partner, gave us some information at arrival.

The pictures do not do La Casona justice. The main living room is very large and with a double-height ceiling. The kitchen and double bedroom are of moderate size and the bedroom has a very cool "grotto" style en-suite bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has a modern oven, gas hobs, large fridge, toaster, coffee-maker and plenty of pots and utensils. There are two terraces - a large one in front of the house and a smaller one on the roof. Both give way to fabulous views down the valley, which is terraced with olive, lemon and carob trees. The Wifi works well and there is a TV if the views outside are not captivating enough for you. It is also family friendly with a high-chair and travel cot, but only one bedroom. It is a nice 15-minute stroll down a track to get to Port de Soller where there are bus connections to Soller, Palma, Deia, Valldemossa and lots of other places. Our hosts responded quickly if we had any questions and even picked us up from the bus stop. Highly recommended.
