The Craftsman Suite is on the northeast back of the house. It also has a private bath and a sunrise view of Chambers St. and also the northern neighborhood view. It's warm and cozy, with a mini refrigerator, TV, and a canopy queen bed.

The space
The Great House of Galesburg was built in 1857 by Silas Willard and Cordelia Chambers Willard. They purchased 11 acres from Hiram Kellogg, the first president of Knox College, and built the house on unbroken prairie. Silas was instrumental in bringing the CB&Q Railroad to Galesburg, which directly resulted in a boom in Galesburg's growth in population and economy. The majestic home with ionic white pillars is one of Galesburg's most recognizable home since the early days of the city.
The 4,700 square foot home has four bedrooms for rent, each with a private full bathroom, refrigerator, TV, and unique décor. Choose one of the completely private rooms - the Executive, Chambers, Craftsman, or Innkeeper’s, or rent the entire home. There is an area at the top of the stairs for coffee, water, and light snacks.
As a guest you may use the two living rooms, dining room and kitchen. The library serves as an office, but you are welcome to tour it. The vault is primarily for storage, but please look around, as it has plenty of history. You are expected to leave everything as you found it and clean up after yourself.
The home is in a beautiful residential neighborhood, with downtown shopping and dining within walking distance.

I am a Galesburg native and Knox College Alumni. During the day I am a Business Analyst and Project Manager. I implement and optimize data analysis software for major hospital systems.

Because of my love of Galesburg architecture and history, I have created many convenient spaces that are a welcome retreat for visitors who are attending events in the area, or visiting, and want a unique Airbnb experience.
